Locke London Canary Wharf

"The staff were all so helpful, as expected with a hotel that has only been open 2 weeks there were some teething issues but the staff honestly handled everything so well! The hotel itself is modern, in a great location and just has a really nice vibe. The room had an incredible view and a sleek set up. The bed is outrageously comfortable to that was a big big bonus! My only criticism is the temperature of the room was almost unbearable. The "AC" would only let the room go down by -3° of the current temperature so the majority of our stay the room was sat at about 20 degrees. With no airflow whatsoever. So we ended up keeping the curtains closed and the fridge stocked with water. Thankfully the weather in London was beautiful that we didn't mind spending majority of our time outside because there was a bit of dread with returning to the room."

"On the whole a lovely clean hotel. There was some dust behind furniture etc when pulling out to get to sockets. Breakfast was lovely and a good variety. At dinner the food was very nice except for the pie unfortunately the pastry was rock hard, but filling was nice. The pool was great for the kids and the room was nice and large with 2 X doubles and a double sofa bed for 4 of us. The 3 fans provided were great and kept us nice and cool in extremely hot weather. The fridge in the room was also very handy for keeping cool. Lounge area is lovely to relax in some air con and have a drink or meet friends. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend."

The Clarendon Hotel - Blackheath

"The location was wonderful. The bath/shower was problematic. The showerhead was in poor shape. It was dangerous to get in and out of the tub for older folks like us. The room was clean. The bed was OK. Unfortunately, we visited during a heat wave. Lack of air-conditioning was a major issue during this time."

Vertus Edit Canary Wharf

"I stayed at Vertus Edit few times. The location is good and the price is usually reasonable. A couple of points I noticed this time around. There is no air conditioning which was a struggle this time with the warmer weather. The iron available in the room isn’t a steam iron which feels a bit silly. The ironing board was so wobbly that makes it almost impossible to use it."
