"Stay was work/conference for 3 days and 4 days holiday.room was very good studio type flat.Reception staff were very helpful.The building is very modern looking and surrounded by everyday flats and some derelict looking areas but this is typical Crete.Felt very safe walking about.20 minute walk into city.Taxi base not far away so would arrive within 3 or 4 minutes.AB supermarket maybe 200 metres away plus lots of local smaller shops and cafes nearby on main road into city centre.For the price it...

"The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach. We dined for 3 nights at Knossos Taverna nearby. Owners were very friendly, cousins to manager of Golden Bay. Many menu options, recommend eating there. "

"The hotel is located outside of central Malia, which is harder to access by foot if you have luggage. It's walkable and the views are splendid. The air is pure as there are many olive farms surrounding the property. It's also very breazy and It's good value for money. The only annoyance was that they demand a supplement for the aircon of 10 Euros per day, which according to Experia is included in the stay. For the 2 night stay, I wasn't going to protest. After wandering around in the dark for awhile, we spoke to a lady walking around the building who apparently worked there or owned it. She led us to an office +unmarked).
