"If you’re looking for an authentic St. Thomas experience, Bluebeard’s Castle is it. We stayed at Pirates Pension area and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better spot. For context, we have been to St. Thomas 10x and have stayed all across the island, north, south, east, and west, in everything from resorts to Airbnbs. So when we say this is one of the best bang for your buck stays on the island, we mean it. The views from up on the hill are absolutely stunning. You can see the harbor and the Caribbean stretching out forever and it never gets old. The resort itself is well kept and has that perfect mix of laid back island vibes with everything you need. The on site restaurant was a real standout. The food was delicious, the seafood and fresh mangos were incredible and the atmosphere in there was just right. Exactly the kind of place where you lose track of time over a good meal. And don’t sleep on the drinks, the adult beverages were plenty strong and kept the good times going all afternoon. The pool area was great (3.5 foot deep) and one of our favorite spots on the property (kids)It felt super safe, surprisingly quiet, and never overcrowded. Perfect for just floating around and unwinding with zero stress. The location is great too. Close enough to Charlotte Amalie to explore the shops and local history, but tucked away enough that it feels like a true escape. If you’re planning a trip to St. Thomas, don’t overthink it. Bluebeard’s Castle delivered!!!"

"Great pools with water features for kids. Nice beach but it is a decent trek to/from unless you shuttle it. Beautiful views, helpful staff. Resort fee fairly steep but with the amenities worth it."

"The staff is what makes an average Marriot stay great. From the doorman to the housekeepers all were friendly and very helpful. The facility has long distances between the hotel and amenities. The rooms are average and dark, including the bathroom. Tried the Italian restaurant and waited over an hour for the main course. I would not come back."

"I recently stayed at Margaritaville Vacation Club St. Thomas and overall had a really great experience. The property is beautiful, and the atmosphere truly gives you that relaxing island vibe. The staff was amazing—everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was the number of stairs. Getting to our room required quite a bit of walking and climbing, which can be a bit tiring, especially after a long day. They do offer golf cart rides, which is definitely a plus, but since it’s a busy hotel, you may have to wait a little while as they assist other guests. Overall, I would still recommend this resort for a relaxing getaway. Just be prepared for a bit of walking!"

"The Pink Palm was so beautiful .. The room was very clean and comfortable.. In general, the hotel was very quiet and serene.. Also, the complimentary breakfast every morning was so fresh and delicious.. "

"This hotel exceeded expectations, cool vibe, great grounds, very clean. The room was really nice, the large swing chair on the patio was a nice touch. My only room complaint was a more private toilet door and the facet’s stream was very unusual for a hotel sink. We hung out at both the pool - so many pools to choose from- and beach, both were quite nice. It would have been nice for beach toys to be included rather than being an additional charge. We dined at Isla Blue. The vibe and decor was awesome. I ordered a Killer Bee cocktail based on the waiter’s recommendation and it was amazing, keep em coming’! The steaks were slightly above average for the price. However overall the food was just average. One pleasant surprise was the fact that the mini bar was completely included, booze too. Very unusual in my travels. I would rate 4.5 stars maybe even 5 for Virgin Islands, highly recommend!"
