Excellent location and v good breakfast. Most staff friendly apart from one gentleman in reception. Stairwell and bathroom vents need to be dusted better.

The Ivy Hotel was great. Perfectly situated and easy to everything we needed. It as also so clean and new and the air conditioning was amazing….a must need in Malta.

Hotel located in a building site. Not much use for a balcony. Beds not comfortable need deep matress topper. Breakfast not great. Didnt like cooked choice so would have toast . Had to ask for bread to be topped up. Had a banana one morning and asked for some next morning was told none today maybe next day but none there. When they did arrive 2 mornings later they were green and inedible . They were a bit better the next morning and then none again. I did have some ham and cheese one morning but noticed the attendant topping up the tray with cheese. He had no gloves on and was just throwing it on the tray slice after slice so i did not have it after that. Youcould see the washing up going on while you filled your coffey and they were drying the dishes with what looked like a big not so clean looking bath towel.

The Ivy is a delightful escape from this popular Malta tourist area's congestion, noise, and dirt. A block off the main drag, it is peaceful, welcoming, modern, well-maintained, and clean when you step inside. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and equipped with everything you needed for a lovely stay. The shower had plenty of water pressure and endless hot water. There were many large absorbent bath and hand towels (but no washcloths - common in Malta). The bed linens were very nice. I wish there had been more pillows, but those provided were comfy. The mattress was firm for my taste and could have used a pillow topper. There was a private balcony with an uninspiring city view. I was disappointed to see an ashtray and smell cigarette smoke from previous guests. The breakfast was excellent, with hot and cold choices. The breakfast room is quiet and comfy and kept tidy by an attendant. If you plan to be in St Julian, Ivy is the place to stay. This small hotel is an escape from the madding crowd on the streets. Also, your budget will thank you; Ivy is a great value. I highly recommend this property.

Ivy Hotel
Lovely hotel just off the main street in St Julians. Bus stops were within 200 metres which would take you most places. The area is pretty lively with bars and food outlets open until about 4am although i heard no noise overnight despite having my balcony door open. I stayed in room 1003 which had a very large balcony with sea views but also with the views of the numerous building sites which are an everyday occurrence in Malta. There was, however, little noise from the sites but it is something you need to consider wherever you visit in Malta.

Muito bom custo/benefício
O hotel tem um bom custo/benefício. Fica em uma região movimentada, próximo a bares/restaurantes, ponto de transporte público, supermercado e shopping. Para quem fica muitos dias, não possui grande variedades no café da manhã (poucas frutas). Os funcionários deixam a desejar em simpatia e prestatividade.

Das Hotel lieg in einer Seitenstrasse zur doch sehr lauten Hauptstraße. Damit ist es relativ ruhig, auch wenn man Nachts ein paar Besucher der Kneipen hört. Schadee ist, aber das ist wohl überall auf Malta so, dass man vom Balkon nur auf andere Häuser schaut, die auch ziemlich dicht sind, obwohl ich schon im 6. Stock wohnte.

Zimmer groß und gut ausgestattet, USB-Ports zum Laden vorhanden. Frühstück gut, Lage in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Bushaltestelle sehr nah. Kleiner Stadtstrand ca 500 m entfernt. Zur Sauberkeit nichts Negatives anzumerken.

Unterkunft sehr ruhig und doch zentral gelegen. Alles genau so, wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Betten groß und bequem, moderenes Bad, alles recht neuwertig, Zimmer mit großem Balkon. Mitarbeiter freundlich. Leider ist das Hotel sehr hellhörig, nachtaktive Nachbarn waren etwas nervig, manchmal auch laute Musik oder Gespräche waren aus den anderen Zimmern zu hören. Außerdem wurde das Zimmer sehr spät am Nachmittag gereinigt, sodass es einmal nicht gemacht wurde weil ich zwischen 15:30 Uhr und 17 Uhr das ""do not disturb" Schild draußen hatte. Die Bitte, das Zimmer etwas eher zu reinigen wurde entgegennommen aber leider nicht umgestzt.... Trotzdem eine klare Empfehlung für diese Unterkunft!

Affordable hotel
Neat hotel close to heart of st. Julian. Lots of contruction around hotel so after late night its not so nice to wake up on power drill 😅

Notre séjour a été globalement convenable. Malgré la gentillesse des membres du personnel, nous avons été déçus par le fait que le réservoir de savon dans la douche soit resté vide pendant toute la durée de notre séjour (en dépit de notre demande). Le petit déjeuner buffet était bien achalandé (à condition de se lever tôt !) mais la machine à café en panne un jour sur deux et la salle de petit déjeuner très rapidement bruyante. De même, les travaux de l’immeuble juste en face du balcon de la chambre (qui ne sont pas du fait de l’hôtel) ont eux aussi enlevé de la tranquillité à ce séjour. Néanmoins, la chambre était très propre, décorée avec goût et meublée avec des matériaux de qualité hormis le lit qui était assez dur.
