I had a light bulb going out in one of the lamps and it was fixed by the time I came back for dinner. There was a lot of thought put into this place. "Admittedly, I may have looked a little road rough entering the hotel. However, the initial transaction with the front desk person was a bit less than desirable due to, I think, the Expedia booking instead of direct. "My girlfriend and I had never been to Portland before. We loved that the staff had put together a brochure of recommendations for food! That was one of the draws for us to visit. "This hotel as well as the service and staff is a 10 out of 10 and I am picky! I was a little shocked at the $44 overnight valet parking but it sure was nice to have my rental car sitting right outside the front doors at 6am. The room service food was great. "I was surprised the parking garage was in the basement. But i have an SUV and the parking spaces were not wide enough and there was not enough spaces for the hotel size. I like that it’s hidden but there is a lot of cars parked outside. Its an accident waiting to happen. My compliments to the chef. He toasted my breakfast burrito perfectly amazing and without me asking for it!!! The room, pool, hot tube, outdoor seating area are amazing on the riverfront. I would definitely go again."
