"We booked same day and they let us in the room as soon as we arrived, early. Jazz bar is nice and quiet. Room was spacious, nice shower, slippers, nice soap and conditioner. Good lighting, heated toilet seat. Smallish room but amenities were great. Really nice hotel that we'd love to come back to. "

"This place was an amazing last minute find (on sale) in the heart of old Montreal. The only thing to be mindful of is there is no A/C. This was a slight challenge for us due to allergies (it was the height of pollen season in MTL). We were told we could leave the window open to cool the room off. Which would have been reasonable had I not had severe seasonal allergies. I also wouldn’t plan to stay here during the height of summer as MTL can get pretty sticky/hot. "Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel was disappointing. The front desk staff were unfriendly and not very helpful, and the same attitude was reflected by the bell boys. Service at the restaurant was also rough and unwelcoming, which made the overall stay feel uncomfortable. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement in customer service."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. All areas of the hotel that I used were clean and well maintained. My biggest criticism was around the intense smell of bleach on our sheets. I understand the need for cleanliness and safety, but there must be some kind of rinse that can be done post-bleaching to get rid of that strong odor. My nose, eyes, and throat were all irritated from the vapors. Also, if there was supposed to be a fan in our bathroom, it didn’t work."

We arrived after a long haul flight, late in the evening and the staff were all really courteous in helping to resolve the issue, which was very stressful. We couldnt have asked for a better welcome! The hotel is small but very friendly with lots of character. We booked a larger room as we spent a week here. We honestly couldnt recommend it more, the staff are what makes this hotel special 😊"
