"There are about 30 steps from the off street parking space to the Treetops deck, but we knew that going in. One arrives at a spacious deck with a fantastic view of the Bay of Islands with Russell off in the distance - hence the elevation. It was a bit too cool to dine on the deck (there is a bbq) but at the end of each day exploring it was lovely to sit with a glass of wine on the deck, watching the light fade. "Our hosts were amazing, they welcomed us upon arrival, assisted with our luggage and provided some home made baking. They host a very high quality continental breakfast with home made bread, eggs cooked to your liking. Extensive knowledge of the area, lots of maps and recommendations, would highly recommend staying at Allegra, we actually stayed an addition night as it’s the perfect location to base yourself in the Bay of Islands.The views from the rooms are amazing looking over the harbour to...
