"I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I needn’t have worried as I had an amazing week. "Located a few minutes drive from the airport, with impressive 180 degree views over the ocean and airport. Have an aerial view of planes landing and taking off. Due to the height of the hotel, there is no issue with noise. The pool is one of the best. A decent length and width. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and spacious, the only small negative was that they smell a little musty."

"A lovely little hotel in the port of Kefalonia. Comfortable room, good air con, nice breakfast. The staff were very friendly, offering tips on where to go and booking taxis. We ate at the hotel one evening and it was a nice meal, reasonably priced. "

"This hotel is perfectly situated in the city center on the water, just off the main road. Access is very easy. Hotel staff are all lovely, breakfast was a great selection, and the room was large even though it was just for me. It’s near lots of restaurants and shops, etc. highly recommend and I will be back! "Great place to stay near the airport. 8 drive time to the airport and 5 mins to Avra which has a good restaurant. Pool is good and breakfast is nice. Easy to get to and communication with the owners is good by message and mobile."
