Whilst I give the Rural Retreat 5*'s I'd give myself less as I missed that the room was not ensuite and that breakfast (which was very good btw) was not included. I will look more closely next time. Whilst St Finans is close to interesting places, there is not much in the village itself. Wifi was not great, but that is a problem for the area rather than for any specific property."

"We stayed in a hillside chalet for two nights with our little dog. The chalet had perfect views of the lake and it felt very private. You could hear the birds singing and we even saw a red squirrel right outside our window. The chalet has a rustic feel, with a very comfortable king sized bed, bathroom, and a handy fridge. There is a railway path just behind the lodges for convenient dog walks with lovely views. Excellent continental breakfast with a good choice of cereal, fruit, ham, cheese,...
