"Their biggest pool - the one in their profile picture, was not open. I also resented that they did not have a water refill station, anywhere. They said that my only option for fresh water was to pay $2.50/ per plastic bottle to my room. When I asked if I could drink the sink water, they cautioned against it. It was surprising to me how hard it was to get water here, especially considering that they have a great sauna on the property; you would think hydration would be more of a concern."

"This was my third trip to Bermuda Unfortunately, Grotto Bay did not live up to the standards of other resorts on the island. The front end needs a course on customer service. Day prior to my arrival, I called and requested earlier check in at 2 pm and was told there are no guarantees…it ended there. Booked 5 nights here and called guest services several times to book a massage and no answer. Left a message at the front desk told to keep calling back she was busy. On my third day I was finally able to book a massage. The rooms are outdated and need refreshing. On a positive note beautiful view from my room, mattress was comfy, and the sheets were clean. This resort is sprawling and very hilly take note if you have mobility issues. Breakfast buffet $31 pp good selection to choose from. During my trip I booked some excursions off site and received the warm welcoming vibe that Bermuda is known for. Unfortunately it fell flat here and the hospitality standard needs a major overhaul! "

"A beautiful, historic boutique hotel with a charming local feel. Huckleberry restaurant is one of the very best in Bermuda. Staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. Our so-called “cozy” room was spacious and very comfortable. You feel like you’re truly experiencing Bermuda compared to the corporate feeling Princess Hotel across the street."

"Room was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was more than adequate. There's a drugstore within walking distance that has a small grocery area. Large grocery stores are a short drive or bus ride. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk. Busses will take you anywhere on the island. "
