"Overall a very good value place to stay, and as long as you know the place’s limits in advance you can plan round them. A bit on the basic side (no desk in the room, no towels, no dedicated wifi (something cloudy that didn’t work on 4th floor, so I tethered iPad to phone). toilet and shower a bit “military grade” but the price point was exceptional. Most of the staff were really friendly. Oh yeah there was a bit of a smell in the 4th floor corridor, but this was only in the corridor not in the room thankfully."

"Breakfast was fantastic, staff fabulous, friendly bar/restaurant with locals and evening meals great. Room could benefit from an update but it's situated in a lovely old building with great pictures and memorabilia worth looking at. We would most certainly stay there again without question. "

"Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great pet friendly pub with specific areas for people with dog's, towels and blankets were provided for the seating and the floor as well as plently of water dog treats and meals you can purchase. Room was super clean if only we had stopped the dog getting on the bed when he was wet! "

"Our stay was enjoyable and we were made very welcome by Angela. She greeted us on our arrival and helped with the bags as we were on the top floor. The room was cosy and very tastefully laid out, with a great shower, a small fridge and a sea view to enjoy as well. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed strong coffee with our full breakfast. We like the location because it is close to the sea and has enough parking spaces. We have stayed here before and no doubt we will be back again in the future."

"The rooms were small but adequate. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the choice at breakfast was good. There was a small amount of parking space at the front of the hotel. It stands at walking distance from the railway station but noise is NOT intrusive. There were a lot of stairs to the top floor of the hotel. There was a poor flow of water in the shower and the water took a long time to get hot, perhaps because of being on the top floor. In general terms, it offered good value for money. Thank you. "

"Hotel location wonderful , room view was stunning , second time staying here , Staff great but the overall hotel and room really need updating . Rooms are tired and need work , my parents room had a hill view , beautiful view but the window was totally rotten . Quite expensive rooms for the tired decor . Would stay again but overall condition for the price would put me off . "
