"We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. "No sea view balcony even after selecting it sea view room, my neighbour had one though. Paid a premium for this view and did not get one. Flooding shower and sink drains. Safe was malfunctioning and did not match instructions. Everything else fine, but will avoid in future."

"Amazing staff who were very pleasant and happy to help. We were picked up from the airport by Diamond (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) who drove us straight to the hotel. We had a gorgeous town view, which was breathtaking. The room was well equipped and exactly as described. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and tasty and was taken on the roof terrace, which had equally lovely views. Much recommended for a short stay in Skiathos town."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Rene. We arrived much later than planned but were welcomed so graciously and even made some food. The rooms, with fantastic air conditioning, and grounds were spotless because they were cleaned every day. ALL staff were friendly and approachable. Sunbeds, swimming and restaurant area were all well maintained. Beach and town centre all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again."

"We loved our stay here the front desk staff was helpful especially with navigating the bus routes! Our room was beautiful. There was easy access to a very nice beach. There were a couple restaurant options within walking distance on the beach. It’s about at 20 minute walk to old town Skiathos or a quick bus route from stop 5 to stop 0. Breakfast was okay for a breakfast buffet."

"We stayed here a few weeks ago just for 1 night and it was wonderful. The room was spacious for 4 people and had an amazing view with a balcony. Breakfast and pool were great. They even had a shower in the lobby if you wanted to use the pool after check out. Walking distance to the beach. Would definitely stay here again! "Our AC didn’t work and the staff knew that and put is in the room. When we asked for help to turn on the AC we were told there’s an issue with the AC in our room and they can’t do anything about it that night. It would’ve been nice to be put in a room that had AC"

"Giannis was excellent - could not have been more helpful. The room itself was beautiful, partner found the bed a little too firm but I thought it was perfect. Free minibar was a nice perk. I wish the pool hours were longer but I understand from a liability perspective. The vending machine in the lobby was an excellent touch. Room was kept lovely and clean! "The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was great. Breakfast was good, with a few different options. The pool is clean and a good size with lots of sub beds around it. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Brilliant views of the mountains and the sea to the other side."
