This room sits directly above a bar who blast computer techno generated music. When I say loud, items in my room were vibrating and as I lay in bed unable to sleep the vibrations came through the bed. Earplugs were of little help. The music was blasted until 2AM on Saturday, 1AM on Sunday and again to 2AM on Monday. It was brutal. The owmner only yold me after checking in about the music and she said it only lasted until midnight. Wrong!! If mega high volume computer generated techno music into the early hours is your thing you'll love it. If you like to get a decent sleep beginning between 11pm-midnight this isn't where you want to be.

The property was located very centrally to sites of interest and very convenient for breakfast. The parking situation was a problem this time of year (September) and the stairs were very difficult to maneuver for elderly of disabled. For those who retire early, the music from nearby was noticeable. The staff was most helpful and congenial, very friendly.

The hotel is in an amazing location in Split right on the Riva. The staff was incredible and was very helpful when I needed information about the city. They also took me to and from the airport at a reasonable price. If I ever make it back to Split, I will definitely be staying here again.

Great location, clean, powerful shower, air conditioned and washing machine. Be aware though there didn’t seem to be any crockery and there are two flights of steep staircases to climb.

I can’t say enough about the exceptional service of Katarina and staff. Over the top helpful and never tiring. Example Parking ticket her and her staff explained and helped us pay. Next day car was towed and at the end of a most probably very tiring day Katarina drove us across town to the tow yard waited and escorted us back to the hotel. And honestly Katarina had a sincere sweet smile and demeanour every day no matter her challenges in pleasing the guests! This was by far the best and most personal service we have ever received!!! Hats off to Katarina and many many thanks also to Medelo(?) her staff.

Nice apartment
The apartment we stayed at was nice, it had small kitchenette and basic facilities. Very clean and comfortable. It was in a different part of town than the address listed on the Hotels.com posting but it was still a good area for sightseeing downtown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they walked us to the apartment from the checkin office and answered our concerns quickly. The A/C and wifi weren't working when we got there so we told the staff; they were able to fix the A/C right away but the wifi couldn't be fixed while we were there. The staff offered to move us to another unit but we didn't bother, this little apartment was nice enough! It also has a small outdoor courtyard with table and awning to sit outside.

Welcoming and helpful staff and good location. Charming building. Breakfast was very limited. The airconditioning didn’t work. The heat of the water was very unstayable.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We appreciate every comment, so we can improve our hosting. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with the breakfast. For the price of 7 Euro you have coffee (more than 1), freshly squeezed orange juice, and a meal ( 3 kinds of omelette, healthy bowl, toast sandwich, eggs and bacon,..etc). We think that that is more that enough for that price, and we are sorry that you do not think so. Regarding the ac, you should have called us if it was not working and we would have sent a handy man to fix it. All the best for you.

Great place -- especially the central location. The unit we stayed in even had two floors and 2 balconies! Good service as well. Note to others checking in: the reception -- which is in a different (nearby) building than all the apartment(s) -- has a glass door and is to the right of the other entrance with the same address.

Small, cozy room, very clean and staff were helpful. The room we stayed in was not at the property as advertised however—the concierge of the property is apparently in the city center (which is what you see on the website/Expedia/booking/etc) but our actual room was probably 5-10 mins away. Still, it was a nice setting with a garden surrounding, and still very close to the city center. The only real complaint is that the hot water runs out in literally 5 mins of usage then you need to wait for 30 mins so the water gets heated up again.

The building and room were excellent. However, there was an extremely awful smell coming from the bathroom. We could hardly go in there because the smell was so bad. I hope they can get that sorted out.

palatial room overlooking Split harbour
Cool. airconditioning excellent- much needed (35C)-shower efficient- continuous noise at night from lively seafront partying, base thumping from adjacent cafes went on til 2am- linen on (very comfortable, large bed) too small for the bed size so that the under sheet kept coming loose and had to be endlessly tucked in- irritating and uncomfortable in the heat. Otherwise the elegant room a pleasure and relief to come back to.

Loved the location. It was right on the edge of the old town. The traffic in the area is crazy, especially if you are driving. Parking was a challenge. The folks at the rental agency were extremely helpful with this. We would stay here again.

Nice, Compact but Noisy.
Nice, well appointed, but quite compact. Apartment No.2 up one flight of steps. Close to the centre of Split, Port area and local markets. No terrace but a shared sheltered garden area with seating/table. Only downside was lack of insulation between ceiling/floorboards above through which every noise from our neighbours was heard i.e. footsteps, conversations etc.

24hrs isn’t enough!
Amazing place, vibrant and in a beautiful location. Staff met us at the airport , took care of every detail and gave us a warm and friendly welcome. After a delicious meal in ‘ Mazzgoon ‘ restaurant and a walk along the waterfront we found a local chocolate shop and indulged. I cannot say enough about this lovey place and exceptional staff. We only had 24 hours here, but we leave with some wonderful memories and new friends made. We will be back.

Recommend (but some city noise)
I would recommend guesthouse Pjaceta! The location is ideal (on the main Riva boardwalk). It is in close walking distance to everywhere. The location is posh, beautiful, and safe at all hours. The bed is very comfy, shower is fantastic, and the a/c works very well. My only fault is that there is a restaurant/pub downstairs which plays music until 2am. Which makes it hard to sleep if you have to be up early. But overall a wonderful place to stay.

Had a lovely stay at the Guesthouse Pjaceta, the staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived at the reception and they gave us a mini tour on the way to the apartment (the apartment is a few mins walk from the reception). Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The apartment is in great condition and a fantastic location, less than a minute walk from the palace. Like all apartments in Split, it is on the small side, so perfect for short stays and couples. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we visit Split again.

Very cute room/apartment. Close to so many shops and restaurants and a fun night life. May be a bit difficult to find at first but once you find the hotel check-in it is wonderful. You cannot go wrong for this room.

Very central in old town.
Let down by Expedia. Booked what we thought was accomodation for 3 adults. Description was a studio apartment with sofa bed. There was no sofa bed! Not even room for a z-bed as bathroom door would not open with it laid out in kitchen and no room to move. The manager resolved by putting us in another newly refurbished room on seafront with hard sofa bed. However, the sofa bed was below the Aircon unit that dripped so we ended up sleeping with three in the double bed. Just as well it was a king size. As a result we have lost confidence in Expedia. Expedia must get descriptions right as this got our holiday off to a bad start.

Good location and room, poor service
This was a great location, directly across the palace and close to shops and the promenade. The room looked like it was recently redone and was clean and spacious. Unfortunately the first floor did not have any windows. The door had slats to let light in, but prevented privacy. The low rating really reflects our check in experience. The website says check in is at 12pm, but when we got there we were told it was at 2pm and they couldn't control what was on the website -so our room wasn't ready. We had to pay a local tax, but they didn't take credit card. They wanted Euros and when I told them I only had local current they didn't have change so they asked me to come back another day. They walked us to our room, but took forever trying to figure out how to open the locked metal gate. The cleaner met us there and worked up the room, but when I asked the receptionist if we could have extra towels she said no. We brought a car with us and the website says free parking, but they really couldn't tell us where we could park. For others looking at this place, there is no service during your stay so there isn't a chance to get fresh towels, etc. The location was amazing and the room was okay, but we felt the service was lacking.

Gorgeous guest house in fabulous location
The staff was lovely. Picked us up from the airport. Very friendly. The room was so clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities. I would highly recommend.
