"The room was clean and the breakfast was impeccable. The location was great being close to the ferry port. The one obstacle was a long walk uphill from the bus terminal to the hotel. It was great coming down hill to catch the ferry to Split."

"Very nice accommodation and nice breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We went from the 10th October and had nice weather and swam in the sea. However the beach bar and outdoor pool had closed, shortly after arrival. So for some late sun, I would recommend late September, first weel of October to get the full use of facilities."

"The first room we had developed a leak in the bathroom which we report and was resolved satisfactorily. The following day after torrential rains we had another leak of water through the light fittings. The staff were very helpful and we were able to change rooms. The staff were always very polite and helpful. The man who sets out the breakfast buffet obviously takes pride in his work and creates what is almost a work of art, if you can see it before people start eating it."

"We stayed at the Amphora in October break which meant the hotel was relatively quiet, it appeared as if they’d reduced the staff. The main restaurant disappointingly was closed, we were served in the breakfast room by a single waiter who was unable to cope with demand - food there was not great. Location is fine as long as your either up for a long but pleasant walk or happy to take a taxi, beware some of the local taxis are fierce at overcharging €95 for 2 miles from port to hotel - after that one I used Uber for everything which was good. The promenade and beach were excellent. Spa facilities were good easy to access with capacity in October, would be interesting in August. Room was nice and clean with amazing view of Adriatic Sea from balcony. Overall I would recommend staying in the hotel and eating out, Split city was very interesting with nice cafes and restaurants"

"The front of the building has an elevator but the back of the building were our rooms are located has none. You have to go out the front building and walk to the side and enter the doors of the back building which I feel is unsecured. It could dark at nights and might stepped on dog poop(?). Else everything is fine. You have to ask for a kettle since they didn't leave one in our room. There is a receptionist at least always. Taxi or Uber could not enter the narrow road and needs to walk a little bit only."

"Loved this property. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a balcony which was lovely to sit and play cards with a drink. There was also a washing machine and a couple of all in one tabs which was helpful. Very central but also easy to park close by. As this was an apartment, we could have cooked, everything was provided, as well as a coffee machine. Couldn’t fault it at all. Breakfast was up the road in a small cafe, also nice"
