The only thing that was negative was the uncomfortable bed! We had a room with two single beds and mine was lumpy and uncomfortable!

Comfortable & convenient

Hotel decor is a bit dated but we found it clean and comfortable. On-site restaurant was closed but there are lot of food options round the corner. Very convenient location and free onsite parking.

I wouldn’t stay they again. They show pictures of a spacious restaurant and conference room but omit to tell you it’s all closed because of Covid. One of my worst stays and I e used Hotels.com for about 8 years.

Great customer service.

The hotel itself was exactly as expected in terms of location and interior, based on the photos available on this website. The room was also mostly very clean, apart from a couple of hairs on the pillows. Check-in and check-out were both quick and seamless. The most notable aspect of my stay thought was that a very raucous couple were in the room below me preventing me from getting to sleep. I went to reception at about 23:00 and the staff were incredibly apologetic, and immediately moved me to a different room free of charge, even coming with me to check that the room was quiet before putting me there.

Great place to stay.

Hotel.com advertised it as breakfast available (at extra cost) but wasn't. Breakfast was a decider for this hotel. Good to have local café nearby. Room was good for 1 or 2 nights but noisy at night.

I stayed in room No 2. My key did not work on the last night of my stay. I asked the night staff member for help, he promised to bring me a replacement but he did not bring it. I could not come out of the room until the next day when at my check out time.

disabled persons stay

I checked in later than expected, a little difficult getting my wheelchair through the front door but quickly resolved. Had a warm welcome and helped to my room which had been upgraded due to my disability. At no extra charge - thank you! It was difficult to get my chair into the room and turn it around for exiting. Not impossible though and it spent the night charging in the wardrobe alcove. The room was lovely and clean as was the bathroom with the slight exception of staining in the toilet which on first impression looks as though it needs flushing. I can highly recommend the use of a lime scale remover to restore whiteness. Overall a very pleasant experience and the perfect end to a very exiting day - got engaged after 13 years widowhood.

Review of stay

The place could do with a paint and new carpet, looked very tired but the bed was great. I didn't realise that we would be near the restaurant, the noise was really loud until quite late. The room was very hot and we had a hard time sleeping as a result. Had the air con on but the strength wasn't much so could barely feel it - an instruction manual would have helped!

Good tea and coffee facilities. Nice shower. Bed too small and a smell of smoke in room on third night. Very noisy outside and windows didn’t shut properly. Lovely lady working on our arrival and Christmas Day evening.
