"The Fijian people were wonderful! We spent only 3 nights as an add-on to a dive vacation so we snorkeled right off the beach and it was amazing! The reef was very healthy and saw plenty of fish, live soft coral and even a Crown of Thorns starfish. "Lets start with the good: nice beach, great pool, nice garden, friendly staff, comfy beds, family friendly with lots of kids. Unfortunately for me there were a few things that stood out negatively: Rooms are not really clean (had a big wad of black hair in my balcony that no one removed in days). "Great breakfast— large buffet at about $30 per person Grounds lovely and well taken care of. Rooms large. Pool nice. Access to the beach not easy , seemed like a steep drop off. The water wasn’t inviting. Would recommend but not for beach."

Everything was clean and fresh, beautiful views and the food was amazing but most importantly the staff was the best part, every single one the wait staff, the cleaning crew, the drivers and the garden guys all were absolutely lovely and so friendly they always went out of there way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. "The beachouse is a lovely place. Don’t expect a 5star resort, but it’s got all you need. Staff is friendly and helpful and you feel welcome as a solo traveler. There’s not much around (no supermarkets, shops etc) so unless you have a car, make sure you bring everything that you need for your stay. The public bus from/to the airport stops right in front of the Beachouse (costs about FJD11 one way and takes about 3h) Just make sure you tell the driver multiple times to stop at the Beachouse. "The food menu was limited and they did not have all of the beer options. The overall food quality and quantity was good. The room smelled musty and moldy although didn't see any mold anywhere. The staff were great and helpfull. The shelf above the desk in the room sticks out too far and we hit our head multiple times trying to use it from side. "
