"The young family are excellent hosts. It was a real surprise The father is a real chef from France and the Tahitian mom has trained in hotel and speaks excellent English. They live on a small farm where they grow everything they cook. They make their own soap. The little cabin you stay in has everything you might need. Very congenial people. "If you love a tropical feel this is the place for you. There are plants EVERYWHERE! We loved it! There are so many places to sit and relax and they are all so interesting. This hotel is filled with charm! Every time I went into one of the public spaces I would see something I hadn't seen before. This is way better than an over the water bungalow! "I was so impressed with the Shangri-la. The grounds and gardens were immaculate. The rooms were spacious and the beds and pillows were super comfy.
