"The 1880 train was within walking distance from the hotel. The Hill City area was close to most of the attractions around Mt. Rushmore. The breakfast buffet could have been a little better. The eggs were terrible. The pancake machine was broken. The coffee was OK."

"Stayed here for 2 nights,Could be better as the is old and needs new carpet. Saw beetles crawling in the mornings or the carpet. Towel hanger came off. The pool need more frequent cleaning .The good is that they have great /excellent front staff( aka Best Western), i cannot be more pleased with their approach. The breakfast was great. "

"I loved the bungalow! It was so cute. The extra touches made it extraordinary. The shower with the rain shower head, heat, light, Bluetooth, jets...was a wonderful end to the day. The purple bed/mattress with power head and foot incline was awesome. Even the extra touches outside the bungalow were great. The fire pit was lovely, but what I really loved was the rose quartz decor!"

"Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was nice sized even with rollaway cot. Lots of activities for kids, teens, adults, and groups to enjoy with daily activity sheet available to help plan the stay. Camped here in one of the little cabins 30+ years ago and had so much fun with my kids. This year in Lodge with grandchild was even better. "

"The room was very clean and had a beautiful deck with table and chairs. I loved the fact that it was like camping with the nature of it all without the fuss. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because of the noise of the shower next door. We got a cabin that was attached to another and when they took a shower the next morning it was really loud. "
