Really nice experience in Yellow Room 1. All was well maintained and clean. Nice blackout blinds and curtains for good sleep. Good mattress. Nice to have own sink and toilet in room. And shared shower was nice and big. Only recommendation would be to provide all guests with code to get in basement in emergency. We had a tornado warning and no way to get into basement to take cover.
We were in town for a wedding and this was the PERFECT place to stay! It was easy, clean, comfortable, and extremely convenient. Whether you are in town for a few weeks, or a few days Art and Lodging is an excellent choice for your stay, we loved it!!
Very clean room and bathrooms. Host promptly responded to a small issue that came up before my visit and fixed it quickly. Only stayed one night for the Notre Dame game and left early the next morning so did not get a good chance to explore the area but it looked promising. Satisfied with my experience!
We loved the atmosphere. Our room was clean and efficient. The location, in relation to other locations in South Bend, was superior. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were great.
Beautifully refurbished home. Spacious room and multiple spacious sitting areas. Very clean and nice kitchen available for use. Would definitely recommend!
I only was there for about 7hrs, as I drove in from the Ann Arbor area for an early morning tournament. The price was right. Just enough space for me. And it was a beautifully decorated historic home. Plus it was convenient to the Century Center.
Very beautiful home! Visited Notre Dame for the day and it was an easy drive over. Clean and cozy accomodations; was not busy when I stayed and did not encounter other guests.
I was apprehensive about the place having so much shared space (specifically bathrooms) but it way super well maintained, clean, and I felt like they take very very good care of the place! I would come back.
So beautiful inside and out! Loved the character of each of the rooms. Appreciated the ways in which old architecture has been combined with modern function and cleanliness. Would recommend and visit again in the future! God bless
Never met any staff and too dependent on text messages to reach someone.
I would have liked to have a TV.
It's a wonderful home and I enjoyed being in the historic area.
It was a lovely experience.
The ad in hotel. com said it was a bed and breakfast. Nope - bed but if you wanted food you brought your own. I was supposed to get a code to gain entry - nope. Fortunately I ran into the guy who owns the place and he managed to get the code sent. The house is comfortable - bathroom down the hall and another on the main floor. There is coffee - Keurig but coffee. I spilled a little on the staircase and went to clean it - and discovered the stairs have not been cleaned in a while.
Lovely house - friendly people - but a long way from being competitive. For someone who wants a quiet place for three or four days, willing to shop - this could be a great place. I had flown in for a funeral so had no car- it wasn't bad but a long way from good.
