"Everyone was friendly and always asked if we were ok or needed anything. It’s very clean. Boutique Hotels are common in this area, located in the alleys. Many restaurants, massage, shopping are located in the alleys. There is a small quaint coffee shop with healthy eating called Shelter Cafe. Step out of the Homestay, go left and it’s on your right hand side. The Night Shopping is just a few feet away, all in walking distance!! Lan Uyen Homestay was was wonderful. "Room is pretty run down. Foul smell in the bathroom, room has strong musky smell. Hand wash, bath gel and shampoo smelt really bad. Do not understand how they didn’t realise it. Breakfast was basic with lots of variety of fruits. Only went once out of 3 mornings. Positive : Location is good, right infront of the night market and many good restaurants nearby (5-10 mins walk). Receptionist, Anh was helpful is giving us information re Hoi An "
