Our overall stay at Gokulam Grand Resort & Spa was good and comfortable. However, a few significant service lapses and an uncomfortable incident during checkout left a sour taste. The Good: The resort environment is beautiful, and the rooms provided a comfortable, relaxing stay. The food was definitely a highlight, as every meal we had was delicious and well-prepared. The Disappointments: A couple of the advertised activities and amenities were unavailable during our visit. The swimming pool located near the restaurant was not operational, and cycling was also not available, which was disappointing since we were looking forward to these activities. Additionally, the restaurant staff needs to be much more responsive and courteous, as the service felt quite lacking. The Main Issue: The biggest letdown was the communication between housekeeping and the front desk, which led to a highly unpleasant checkout experience. Upon check-in, the housekeeping staff had missed stocking any soft drinks in our room's refrigerator. During checkout, the front desk team insisted on charging us for cold drink consumption. Even after we repeatedly confirmed that the refrigerator was completely empty when we arrived, the staff openly argued with us. They went ahead and called housekeeping to double-check our story right in front of us, handling the situation in an accusatory manner that made us feel distrusted and deeply uncomfortable.
