Sole Valley

On the road to Lago di Pian Palù you can find and explore a large complex of World War One Bunkers. Oh and many trees and waterfalls.

There are many strategic and ruined forts along the lower alps in northern Italy, and this walk takes you to Forte Zaccarana, which is nearly completely ruined from one or both world wars.
The walk includes crossing trenches and hillsides pocked with bomb craters. It is also stunningly beautiful.

What can I say….5 stars all round. We had an exceptional stay. We have been travelling Europe for the last month staying is some stunning hotels along the road….nothing compares to the Sonus Alpis. The beds wow, service is spot on, views to die for and possible the best breakfast selection anywhere in the world. I will be back. Plus parking is FREE 😁
