Sound of Silence

Hotels is located right beside the highway and it was quiet! The rooms have been renovated and I especially liked that the floors were ceramic tiles. Easier to clean and I am sure have fewer germs. Nice room.

The staff were no were to be found upon check-in or checkout. We had to go over to the ESSO Gas Station to check out. Further more, we stayed for 4 days. The staff only emptied the garbage and provided clean towels. They did not turn down the beds, or do a light cleaning of the room. RCMP (police) were called to deal with a major incident while we were staying at the motel. This is NOT a family motel. Save yourself time and money and stay in Red Water. We stayed at this same Motel last and the previous owners were amazing. The rooms were cleaned and motel was staffed. We didn’t have to check in at the ESSO gas station. We received our bill from the ESSO gas attendant we were overcharged $160 for our service dog. We asked the lady at ESSO if can talk to owners about our bill and she said that the owners weren’t in until 12:00pm. We were leaving and needed to get on the road. The lady said she had no way of contacting the owners, which was a concern. I felt terrible for this lady. The lady found a phone number and called the owner-who my husband spoke with.

Nice. Basic but clean and quiet. Breakfast is in the little Bear Cafe. Great choices - good banana bread. Staff were friendly and personable. Clear instructions for breakfast. Staff at the cafe were excellent. Lots of towels, sparkly clean bathtub.

My stay was quite delightful honestly. I wasnt expecting a lot since its in a remote location. But overall i would recommend this location. The exterior is dated,but thatbis kind of expected. The room i stayed in was clean and comfortable.

The staff at the hotel and at the cafe were both very nice and accommodating. The property itself could use some upgrades but the rooms were clean and as expected in a small rural town. One of the doors next door to my room looked like it had recently been kicked in.

Pro - Staff was excellent to deal with, check in and out was easy and done efficiently. Easily and quickly adressed any requests we had. Con - Room temp was turned all the way down (12 degrees in the winter) when checked in. The electric baseboard heaters take a very long time to warm up the room when its set that low. I understand the conseravtion of energy when the room is not in use, but the room should have been set up accordingly that morning. Overall, would stay there again. :)
