Aleksis Kivi lived there between 1864-1871, and it was there that he wrote his masterpiece, Seven Brothers. Siuntio is easily reached by public transport from Helsinki, with weekday services to the central railway station. Travelling is easiest by car, as the local bus services offer only limited services.
