We loved everything about our stay except an incident in the parking lot. Some homeless men accosted us when we pulled in, which made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

The front desk guy barely said 2 words to us or even look at us as we checked in and just demanded my ID.He didn’t tell us a hold was going on my card, I had to ask if there was one before he answered there was. The hotel is old and worn. There isn’t even an automatic door or handicapped button to open the door. The room is clean but very tired and needs upgrading badly. I would never stay here again. The price should have been at LEAST half of what it was for this property.

It was an excellent stay, price was right, free breakfast was good. My only complaint was pillows and mattress, mattress was a little to hard and pillows were to thick and hard, i had to try to sleep with head on mattress because my neck was hurting. But overall it was a good visit

This sits adjacent with a very run down old motel (in poor repair) and a thrift store. There was a drug deal in front of us while we were in the car. We wanted to be able to walk around but NO WAY in this area! Went inside to ask to see the room at 4pm. The checkin area was less than clean. The beige couch shown in the photos was scratched and peeling and a cabinet door in the check in area was broken and hanging off—not at all like in the pictures on the website. The elevator was dirty. The hallways were dirty. The bedroom carpet under a dining table was dirty. I always pull back the sheets to check for clean mattresses, sheets and for bugs. There was dried food on the bedskirt and what appeared to be skin cells?? The bathtub sticker to prevent falls was stained. We were told it was too late to cancel at 4.03. Unable to reach a real person at Expedia. We drove to the Avera area and got a great, clean hotel for the same price. So it cost me double because I couldn’t speak to a person at Expedia and the staff person refused to let us cancel the room. But it was worth it!! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The room was as advertised. Nice comfortable bedding. The breakfast was a really nice surprise, better than most other hotels offer. The parking lot had huge pot holes, made for tricky driving especially in the dark.

When we got here in south dakota, we're from minnesoa. We went to check in at the front desk. They gave us keys to a room that is already occupied. Which we Reserved the roum online ahead of time. Which was kind of messed up for me to walk into someone else's room. Thank god there were dressed. Then it took him another twenty minutes to give us other keys. Then we were late to our venue we were trying to make. I tried to tell him that we're gonna be late. It didn't seem like he cared at all.

I apologize and have been looking into what happened as our system should not allow us to check a guest into a room that is listed as occupied. Comfortable but weird.
The bed and pillows are very comfy. Checking in was wierd as the guy didn't communicate the whole time. He would be silent and not say a word. Then handed us our room keys that stopped working at 8 am, 3 hours before checkout. That was inconvenient but over all it was a nice stay in the area we needed.
