Sinop, Turkey
At the northern end of the region called Paphlagonia in Antiquity is the oldest name of Sinop, "Sinope". Sinop, which was founded as a Hellenic colony and the most important city of the Black Sea in antiquity, has become one of the capitals of the Pontus State which wants to combine Anatolian native cultures with Hellenistic and Persian cultures in the Hellenistic period.

"The owner, Mr. Rıdvan Ozcan, is a gentle and easy going man. My husband and I arrived at Sinop bus terminal at 7:30. He let us checked in right away. He upgraded our room from a studio flat on the ground floor to a 1-room flat on the first floor without extra charge. We enjoyed the sea-view, sunrise and sunset. The flat is not new, but clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything is functional, but there isn't an air-conditioner. It's September, so it's cool at night. The pansiyon is 20min walk to...
