Dear Kenji, --Greetings. ---We are disheartened to know you did not enjoy your overnight stay at our hotel, and we regret any shortfall in our product offerings, services or facilities that you might have expected during your stay. –We are sorry for the disappointment caused to you by the unavailability of soap bars during your stay. --Regrettably, due to recent floods in China, we humbly admit the supply and transportation chains were disrupted and we were unable to receive the procured amenities on time. We seek your kind understanding in this matter. ---Regrading your feedback about plastic bottles of mineral water, please be advised in our go-green efforts and achieving our sustainability goals as responsible lodging operators whereby there are tremendous amount of plastic or paper waste generated by this industry daily, we do not provide our guests with bottles of mineral water. However, we place a water filter and dispenser appliance in every room. Following your feedback, we have checked the 8th level room you stayed in, and the water dispenser was available in the room. --As you may already know, this centrally located property was acquired in early 2024 by The Ascott Limited, and we are carrying out refurbishment works and eventual rebranding plans as part of our improvement works for this property.Thank you for giving us the pleasure and privilege of hosting you at our hotel. –Kind regards, --The management of Hotel Gin Bugis Singapore

Remember you’re getting a smaller room because it’s Singapore. My room was excellent for what it was. WiFi was a bit spotty at the desk unfortunately. Room was clean, had everything I needed. Great place to end a long trip. Thank you.

This place must be a 1 star. No amenities, no restaurant, barely a lobby and reception. old rooms, looks like they are renovating. Small dated bathrooms and sink in the bedroom. Horrible place. They are renting at rate of 4 star. Motel 6 has better reception at least.

The hotel's official check-in time is at 3pm, but at that time they had only 1 staff dedicated to check-in guests, so the check-in took approximately 30 minutes - a terrible first impression. Very basic in-room amenities, no wardrobe (very limited hanging space), and no toothbrushes in the bathroom, so you need to remember to pick one up from reception.

I would strongly advise against selecting this property based on my personal experience. Unfortunately, I encountered an unforeseen issue and attempted to reach out to the property several days prior to my booking in hopes of arranging either a partial refund or rescheduling my stay. Despite numerous attempts through various communication channels such as chat, email, and others, I received no response whatsoever from the property. Even Expedia, my booking platform, made efforts to contact the hotel on my behalf for three consecutive days, yet they too were met with silence. It is perplexing and disappointing to encounter such a lack of responsiveness from a hotel, particularly when basic customer service expectations include acknowledging guest inquiries, even if unable to fulfill their requests.

Rooms are a little small and the bathroom is a wet-room style, but this is a cozy hotel walking distance from many only the downtown sites. The front desk workers were also very helpful.

We booked this hotel due to a central location and saw photos of the extensive breakfast buffet. There were refurbishment works ongoing during our stay. The breakfast hall was dirty (see photo) which is incredible seeing as very few people were getting breakfast - the buffet currently doesn’t exist, and instead you are served some food (one of five choices) in a cardboard box (which you have to go and collect yourself) to eat with a flimsy wooden knife and fork, accompanied by a single drink only. The waitress moved a bin bag off an adjacent table for us to sit down. We were contacted a few days in advance by the new parent company asking if we wanted transport to the hotel - this form was filled in but nothing else heard, and the staff knew nothing of the form on our arrival after we made our own plans when it was evident transport had not been arranged. An ok hotel, but could be better - certainly not what was advertised.

I really liked the property manager. That was about it. the room was awful and awfully expensive for what you got. It's smaller than 200 square feet, and it was damp. I went to bed damp every night. If the room was as half way decent as the room, they would be good. Also the staff wasn't warm at all or helpful at the front desk. No coffee, just handed me some instant coffee, and no umbrellas.

The room, though petite, excels in cleanliness—an aspect I highly value. The bed offers a comfortable retreat. A mere 10-minute stroll leads to Albert Food Court and Bugis Street, surrounded by an abundance of diverse culinary delights. Adjacent to the building, a selection of 24-hour restaurants spans from Thai to Chinese cuisine. Impressed by the attentive service, I'm shall return someday.
