Daily delicious, healthy, substantial breakfast at the: Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon, Jalan Besar 270. I stayed here for 14 nights during the: "Singapore International Festival of Arts". This was my first trip to Singapore. The fusion of cultures, backgrounds and philosophies in Singapore have provided a rich canvas for Artists.
Singapore has a list of rules to follow. If you don't follow them, you will be fined. Please google & remember them before going.
Every morning I sat at a table in their "Floor to Ceiling Dining Room" facing Jalan Besar, while enjoying my breakfast of a different hot Indian dish and hot cereal dish, including all the other goodies especially coconut yogurt. There was a Bus Stop in front of the Hotel, it was fascinating to watch everyone getting on and off the Bus. There was a Sikh Bus Driver wearing a Turban, passengers descending onto the clean, blow dried streets and pavements wearing Kurtas, Dhotis, Saris, Shalwar Kameez followed by Jeans, T-Shirts & Sneakers.
Technological modernity starts in my bathroom, there are no walls between my toilet and shower. When you shower the water goes down the 2 squares, within minutes the floor is dried like nothing happened in there. Fortunately I had used a bathroom like this in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
