"The honeymoon room was good. Great views across the golf course. Breakfast was poor in comparison with all the others in South Africa. If the price is good then try to stay at Simola Hotel and golf course. Simola Hotel often reduce their prices right down in last few days, worth waiting."

"Amazing place to stay with amazing hosts. Close enough to walk to the CBD if you are prepared and brave enough to conquer/tackle the uphill on the way back. For me it was perfect preparation to running the Knysna Forest Marathon. The room has everything one requires and more: WiFi, hairdryer, fridge, kettle, heater, shower and small touches such as OBS and snacks on arrival as well as a torch in case of a power failure or emergency. "We had an amazing visit to South Villa Guesthouse. Christa and Hentie went above and beyond to make our stay special. So many special little touches. They truly love the area and gave us a great recommendation for dinner as well. So pleasant speaking with them. We felt like we were staying in their home. "Absolutely perfect stay. Their attention to detail is incredible. The complimentary afternoon tea was unexpected and a beautiful touch. Breakfast on your private veranda was lovely with the most fantastic view. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Knysna."

"The dog, Reacher, is super friendly. Water is only rain water so must be used sparingly. The little space is great for a short stay but would be cramped for extended periods. Beautiful garden with little pond right on your doorstep, but careful of wasps. "

"Great stay! The hotel seemed quite new. We had an issue where the air conditioning did not work but the staff were quick to bring a fan to our room. We didn't try the breakfast as the hotel was well located to access coffee shops and restaurants. Would recommend for a short trip for a location with great value for money. "
