"Wonderful stay at the Brisa! The rooms are thoughtfully designed with quality finishings (hardwood and natural stone throughout) and the staff were incredibly helpful with suggestions of what to do and arranging transport. The resort is perfectly located in the heart of Placencia but doesn't feel crowded. The beachfront itself is well-maintained and there are free kayaks and bikes to use as well. Highly recommended! "

"Mariposa is a hidden gem. It’s quiet, spacious, and welcoming. It’s super conveniently located- the Placencia airport is about a 1/2 mile away, and the Village is about a 3 min golf cart drive. It would be a long walk. There are several markets to buy snacks and drinks in the Village, as well as great restaurants. Our room was not a treehouse and was in a sub-par location/ up stairs and behind a wall- it did not overlook the pool, beach, or jungle, but provided a nice escape after days of diving. Rooms are well stocked with towels, soaps, linens, mini-bar, etc and the AC worked great. The food was good- we mostly ate breakfasts. The bar offered espresso, as well as a variety of spectacular cocktails. They infuse rum with several different types of flavors- pineapple, habanero, ginger, etc- and make beverages to suit all tastes. Gladis is amazing! We had a couples massage in our room, which the GM, George, organized for us. All in all- I would choose to stay here again!"

"This resort was amazing from the staff, who accommodated me and my wife very well, the room, the views, the food. There were plenty to do from swimming in the pool or the beach, which was literally a step off my balcony, to snorkeling, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and pickleball etc. The resort is on its own lisland however they have boards to get from the island to the village on demand. This resortbis luxury and relaxation at its finest. I booked the spacious king and I'm telling you it's beautiful and luxurious and you will not be disappointed. Just a few things to be aware of is room service was not 24/7 with a cutoff time of between 9-10pm. The food menu was a bit limited in my opinion however staff will try to accommodate your requests as much as possible. Also, there's a service charge at the end of stay which is gratuity for staff which I payed around $182USD for a 5-6 day stay. I will definitely stay at this resort again. "

"Ummmm…. Where to begin. The property has a view like no other. However….its clean but not clean, it’s great but not great lol. The treehouse has great potential, definitely needs A/C we had a pretty rough sleep unless you’re use to the heat. Being from Canada we almost melted. It’s tidy and livable but definitely not clean. The bedding and towels were clean. But the toilet, fridge, sink, dishes and drying rack all needed a good wipe down. I was happy we had travel Lysol wipes to say the least. Wifi/service was very hit and miss. The beach and surrounding the property was dirty with debris, garbage and junk. So as long as you focus on the ocean you’re good lol. Would definitely stay again just because of the view but would prepare for the conditions of the place. Priced high for what you get. Also the grey water from the sink drains bucks out of a pipe sticking out of the side of the house. Do not mistake for an outside shower lol. Also I believe the host enjoys a few or 30 adult beverages prior to arrival and may or may not wipe out on a bicycle lol very nice lady though. All other staff was excellent. "

"We stayed in the Namaste Room (upper level, ocean view, 2 hammocks, comfortable seating). It was wonderful. Breakfast was perfect and appreciated. We stayed for 3 nights. Levi helped us with our luggage from the main street down the sidewalk - and drove us to our next hotel in the village. Owners were very responsive to messages. Highly recommend. "

"Sargassum seaweed lines the beaches throughout the Carribean and this beach is no exception. Also, sand flies and mosquitoes were prevalent in this area, requiring nets over the bed to sleep at night. The property was nice, but very expensive. "
