Staying in a parador is always a treat and this one added an extra special experience looking out from our balcony and walking on the path through by a centuries old castle. "Good hotel in a lovely location up a hill through olive groves. Great terrace outside the bar with a view of the hills. Good restaurant with a decent choice of meals and wines. The only downside is that while the staff were able to supply a password for the bar wi-fi, they didn't seem to know the password for the wi-fi networks covering the accommodation buildings (and my Spanish wasn't good enough to enquire further)."

Hotel Puerta de la Luna

8/10 Good

"The room was a good size with a view over the small pool. The hotel was smart and modern, but the only problem was access - the streets of the old town are extremely narrow and it was impossible to drive to the hotel door. We arrived early enough to be able to park in the hotel’s underground car park round the corner, but getting in there wasn’t easy either. Having now negotiated the access, we would definitely stay here again and for more than one night."

"Fantastic stay in Úbeda! The location was perfect - within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with recommendations and local advice. A wonderful base for exploring this beautiful city. Highly recommended!"

"We loved the position of this hotel that was close to everything you want to see in the old town and the restaurants too. The staff were extremely helpful. Our room on the 7th floor had a very compact bathroom and when the door was opened it caught the knees and toes of the person sitting in the toilet behind. The toilet also had a constant leak and the shower head clasp was broken and kept coming off the wall. That said the hotel was of excellent value and the magnificent roof terrace with a stunning view of the cathedral made up for these small faults. Eating lunch from the supermarket next door or bringing up a drink in the evening were memories that we will never forget. Thank you"

"What a delightful hotel in a historic building, in a lovely old town. Reception was friendly & helpful, the room was spacious, comfortable & clean. As we're the public area, bar, dining room, court yard & lounge. Breakfast was very good. An advantage for us on our road trip was secure parking at the hotel for a small charge."
