This hotel is nowhere close to 3 stars standard: no elevator, the phone doesnt work, no floor mat in the bathroom, rings in toilet, low quality tower and holes and tears on tower, hole on pillow cover. Although the staffs was nice and try their best to accommodate me, I wouldn't recommend it

Excellent service and comfortable room
The staff in this hotel are very friendly, very hospitable, and service is beyond excellent. The room is spacious and clean. My room has lizards, though. The hotel provides tuktuk service for the guests, hence it is very convenient and safe to go out.

no lift, staff are friendly but not helpful
The hotel is located on the main street. Tuk tuk available outside the hotel, cost $2 to $3 to night market. Staff are nice but not attain to the needs of the clients. Overall the hotel cleanliness needs to be improved. Shower curtain needs to wash, quiet dirty. Nice to have a pool but no sign to warn the clients about the depth especially children. No life guard, so swim at your own risk. No hand rail on the deep end, so beware. Not many varieties for breakfast.

It was okay.
The Good: -Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable -Nice quiet hotel -Free Tuk Tuk ride into town from 6-9pm The Bad: -Too far from pub street - (this is where you want to eat your dinner/lunches every day) -Breakfast was not nice at all -Staff spoke very poor English -Tuk Tuk driver actually works for free in evenings, as he is contracted to the hotel to do the arranged hotel tours if you book through them. This should have been communicated to us as we would have booked him instead of using the one that drove us from the bus depot.

Basic hotel that's a good value
The hotel is very basic but it meets all your needs. Pros: Cost Pool Welcome lemonade Friendly staff The restaurants menu Cons: The location leaves a bit to be desired Our room was poorly lit No elevator (not an issue for us but could be for someone with mobility issues) Breakfast is bare bones (ask for eggs, they are free but not put out at the buffet) Overall I would stay here again. For the price it is worth it.

Far from everything
Will be great if they kept promises on transportation since it's out of town and unless you do have transportation there is no way to go anywhere. No one picked me up from airport or send back to airport,I had to pay both ways. But other than that it's a really clean hotel and employees are very nice at all times.

What you pay is what you get
It is a modest hotel and the room is fairly comfortable. But the bathroom is nothing like what you see in the pictures. When you shower, water leaks on to the floor because of the way the tub is set up. Water all over the floor was not comfortable. Reception staff were fairly friendly and professional. But the restaurant staff were a bit serious and treating different individuals differently. Take your own shampoo, soap, etc. The ones provided by the hotel were of the lowest quality I have ever seen. Laundry was either not promptly done or not done at all on two of the three occasions. They just left them in the basket. Even after I booked the shuttle to the airport, they did not arrange. Someone kindly gave us a ride as we could not find a taxi. We made it just in time. In general, there seems to be a tendency all over Cambodia to exploit foreign tourists. I would not blame this hotel particularly, but could sense it. If you don't mind these issues, you can happily stay at this hotel.

Hidden gem
Slightly out of the centre of Siem Reap but this means you get a better quality hotel with a pool at a more reasonable price. The hotel offers free drop off in the centre of town and then it is only $3 to get back to the hotel. The pool and outside area is great after a day sightseeing. The hotel staff are great at organising sightseeing trips/taxis/tuk tuks etc.

Great driver, Nolen!
I booked the hotel because they had airport shuttle from and BACK TO the airport, plus the picture of the pool. Never used the pool, but the hotel provides you with a tuk tuk, with your personal driver, Nolen in our case. What a great deal! There is a charge for his services to the ruins of about $15/day. It cost us only $60 for the 4 days. Ruins, butterfly farm, country side, restaurants, stores, massages, he ran us all over and waited while we were there, with cold bottles of water, when we returned. Tours and individual tuk tuk rides would have cost us well over $300-$400 and would have wasted considerable time and money. I gave Nolen a hefty tip! What a great deal! Driving slowly around in a tuk tuk is a great way to see, feel and smell the area. What a hidden gem!

Great for the price
The hotel is well priced and well located for trips to Angkor Wat and the other temples. The staff was very helpful in setting up tuk tuks, tours and guides, and massages. Water pressure and temperature varied in the shower, but that was one of the only real issues we faced. A tuk tuk takes about 10 mins to the Old Market and Pub Street area.

Functional Hotel out of town
Windy 500 group visited Hotel Gloria in Oct 2015. It is a little way out of town on route 6. You'll need to take a tuk tuk to get in to town ($2) or in fact just about anywhere. The pool is secluded and good. There is not a huge amount of choice for places to eat in the area. Hotel staff can sort laundry and onward travel/trips.

Overpaid for mediocre
The Gloria is well located and offers a free Tuk Tuk service into town from 6pm-9pm (although this wasn't communicated to us by staff, other guests informed us). The pool area is nice with sun beds and beach towels for use. On the downside the bathroom ended up being flooded after even a short shower due to the plumbing, the room wasn't like the photos, the breakfast was luke warm and we found a bed bug the morning we checked out - when we communicated this to staff they didn't appear to understand. All in all we felt that we overpaid for what was a pretty mediocre stay.

Amamzing stay in Gloria Angkor
my girlfriend and me, we had a wonderful time in Siam Reap and the Gloria Angkor Hotel. all the staff was so lovely and smily and very helpful in any case. Food was amazing, room was big, very comfy and clean. Outside swimmingpool was an amazing morning and "after- wonder-in-the-city" refreshment. The hotel rents also bikes for free, which is great fun to bike to the market, or even spend a day biking to the temples. We do Recommend strongly this wonderful hotel ☺️

Nice hotel, with a great staff
I had a great time here. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect after exploring temples all day. The onsite restaurant had good food if you didn't want to venture far. The cable tv even had a few english channels if you wanted a night in. The hotel also seemed to have it's own crew of tuk tuk drivers that were at your disposal.

Good hotel, but airport transfer didn't show up!!
Nice hotel, clean room and bath. Decent spread for breakfast buffet. However, despite confirming that they have arranged airport transfer (part of the package), there was no one at the airport to receive us. Ended up paying for airport taxi, which they said they wouldn't reimburse. Hence an average rating.

Great service, comfortable stay
Greeted with a welcome snack and drink. Very warm hospitality. Enjoyed the free flow of tea, coffee and bananas. The budget breakfast was also decent and sufficient. Enjoyed the complimentary tuk tuk at night. I came by bus from phnom penh. And the staff actually came in a nice van to pick me up at bus station. The staff would go through extra length to ensure u have a good stay. My mum's room was too cold because the air con remote was not working well due to batteries. The next morning, the staff went to every room to change their aircon remote control batteries to new ones. Amazing!! Really had a pleasant experience here.

Great price but far from everything.
Overall the hotel is a good value. Has a nice pool and most staff are very friendly. They are set up to cater to tourists which is nice bc they'll coordinate bus tickets, tour packages, etc. But, their location is poor - the hotel is about a 10-15 minute tuk tuk ride from the night market and about 20 min from Angkor wat. There's nothing walking distance from the hotel so you feel pretty isolated. The price is low for what you get though so that helps to keep in mind. As far as the room goes, it's big and nice, but the bed is pretty firm and the water temperature will change on it's own while you shower. If I were to go back to siem reap, I would stay somewhere closer to the night market since that's fun to visit and is close to many restaurants.

Fantastic hotel
This is a great hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It is located a little way out from the centre of Siem Reap but there are plenty of tuktuk drivers waiting to take you into the centre or to the nearby temples. Clean, comfortable rooms. Some really lovely touches with the turndown service such as a TV guide telling you what English language movies are on. Good selection of breakfast available. Pool is very clean and a great place to cool off after a day of sightseeing.

A really classy little hotel.
From the moment you walk in you are treated with the utmost respect, given a glass of juice, cold towels and vegetable chips. One of the staff sat down with us to advise us on our surroundings and gave us price lists of various trips. The rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. At bedtime they turn down your bed and leave a lovely little story along with a fruit basket and sweets on your bed. The swimming pool is great with ample sunbeds around and if you're feeling indulgent you can have cocktails and lunch around the pool. The restaurant is pretty good and reasonably priced. All in all this place is very good value. Free tuk tuks into Pub Street between 6pm - 10pm. Breakfast was fairly good and the free tea and coffee is a nice touch.

Exceeded Expectations
This hotel seemed good on paper but was even better in person. From the moment of arrival, the staff were extremely attentive, helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and accommodate all of our needs. From providing maps and schedules to complimentary tea, water and coffee, and free tuk-tuk rides to the city center, this hotel went above and beyond to exceed expectations. Included in the cost for this hotel was complimentary drinks and fruit, cable T.V. with channels such as National Geographic and HBO, complimentary breakfast/buffet, free rides to the bus station or airport as well as the city (between 6 pm and 10 pm). This was overall a great, extremely comfortable stay and a worthwhile experience.

All-round great hotel
Undoubtedly the best hotel I stayed in during my time in SE Asia. Staff at the front desk are exceptionally helpful and friendly; and the welcoming reception is great (wet towels, hot tea and snacks). The rooms are generous in size and incredibly clean. The breakfast and restaurant services were decent enough. The hotel also has a very clean pool which is definitely worth taking advantage of. Gloria Angkor is not very centrally located (but this has its advantages – less noise); but the complimentary tuk tuk service after 6pm more than makes up for it. Your driver will also wait to return you to the hotel (provided this is no later than 10pm). To top of a wonderful stay, you also receive a small parting gift - fabulous. There are only 2 criticisms: (i) there needs to be better clarity about the policy regarding the tuk tuk service. In some instances, I was told I would need to pay and in others, that it was free (all by different staff) – perhaps staff need to confirm the policy amongst themselves. (ii) It seemed to be unclear if the hotel was associated with certain restaurants, but the 2 recommendations that they made were not very good at all.

Excellent service in hotel catering to Angkor Watt
The Gloria Angkor is a little outside Siem Reap (probably about 4 km) but the hotel provides free tuktuk rides from 6pm to 11pm to/from Siem Reap. The driver will meet you at an agreed spot (as long as you can find that spot). We had a 3rd floor room facing the back and it was comfortable - but the area around is mostly industrial so not really interesting to walk around. Pool was excellent with fresh towels. Great breakfast. Bar prices are good Friendly helpful staff who greeted you every day. Free snacks & bananas in the lobby. NB "wash/dry laundry in your room" does not mean a washer/dryer but a basket to collect washing - which is pricey in the hotel. Suggest use the local washing service options. NB At the property (a shed) to the left of the hotel (as you leave) you can buy bottled water really cheaply.

Probably the friendliest and most helpful staff I've come across. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with great facilities and good food, including an excellent free breakfast. The location is a little out of town, but there's a free airport pick up if you email them, and free tuktuks into town of an evening. The pool is even better than is looks in the picture. Booked for one night, stayed for 3, wish I could've stayed longer!

Fantastic value for money
Nicely appointed hotel with extreme l'y helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfasts, nice to have cocktails around the pool at the end of a long day at the temples. Although a bit out of town and on a main highway, the rooms are double glazed so extremely quiet. Bed comfortable, though on the firm side as is the norm in Asia.Free tuktuks to and from town in the evening, good free wifi all made our stay very pleasant. One criticism: there were no drawers or shelves to put clothes - just some hangers in the wardrobe, though room was big enough . Bathrooms could do with a face-lift, though adequate with good hot water flow.

Fantastic hotel! Can't wait to go back!
I cannot say enough about how great the staff are at this hotel! Myself and my friend have been travelling around South East Asia for the past 3 months and this is probably the best hotel we have stayed in! The free tuk tuk into town each evening is a lovely bonus and the hotel has a friendly feel the minute you enter it. Rooms and pool extremely clean and breakfast available ALL DAY! The manager went out of his way to help us sort out trips and transfers, but all the staff were brilliant! We actually extended our stay twice at the hotel we were so happy with it! Only 1 aspect I thought was worth mentioning is the air conditioning in each room we had wasn't cool enough even on the lowest setting. Apart from this everything was perfect! Loved this hotel so much and hopefully I can return at some point.

No problems here.
Staff were authentically friendly with personal greetings and pleasantries. Staff morale is high, evidenced by a sometimes cheeky comment or chide to a colleague. Breakfast was eggs to order, waffles, fruit, breads, yoghurt, and croissants. Didn't use the pool ourselves but evidently it was lovely because there were always people using it in the shade of the building. Housekeeping was faultless with a few fresh fruits daily in the room. Good to have a little fridge and a flat screen tv with decent channels. Highly recommend this hotel about 10 minutes by tuktuk from city centre. Would definitely stay again.

Not the best value
Extremely friendly staff. Nice pool area, but be ready for the constant motorbike noise and pounding base of nearby businesses. (By staying here instead of by the riverside/Old Market, you're trading noise of partying backpackers for everyday street noise. If you're looking for peace and quiet, bring earplugs or noise-blocking headphones.) Factor in an extra $10 per night for tuk tuk rides into town and back each day - you'll want to venture out for meals and drinks unless you like the formal white tablecloth feel of the hotel's restaurant. My room had some dirty tissues in it when I arrived. As a solo traveler looking for a quiet retreat, I didn't find this place was a good fit for me and moved to a hotel closer to the river after 3 nights here.

relaxing & comfortable
We enjoyed our stay at Gloria Angkor in January, from the free pickup and welcome cold drink and sweet potato chips to the sweet farewell gift and free transfer to the airport. We found staff to be courteous, cheerful & attentive (if over-the-top with their multiple repeats of "good morning"); the room was very clean and comfortable - loved the big bath with plenty of hot water; the big swimming pool was delightful; free wifi was good; enjoyed the attention to detail - like the daily fruit basket, bed turn-down with lollies, story and daily movie guide. It didn't matter much that it was about 15 minutes tuk-tuk ride into Siem Reap, with only $2 cost during the day and free return to GA between 6pm and 10pm, and although the hotel is situated on a busy main road, inside it was so quiet for a good night's sleep. The free breakfast was good too - though some bacon & cereals would have gone down well too. All up, a really pleasant stay.

Bad point: when I arrived despite having a reservation I was told that the hotel was fully booked and was checked into a partner hotel one minute drive away for the first night. I was offered a free massage as compensation. Good points: The room was of good size, clean with a comfy bed. Excellent free tuktuk service in to town and shuttle to airport.
