First of all, the good points. This hotel tries its very best to provide a good service. They have a free bicycle that you can use and they provide free tuk-tuk shuttle to the city center on the evening but you need to book in advance. The pool and lobby is nicely decorated but the best thing about the hotel was actually not part of the hotel. It was my tuk-tuk driver. Too many times, tuk-tuk drivers would try to cheat you but mine was very honest and a good person. Very thankful for that.
Now for the not so good part. This hotel is old. My room was huge for a single person but the furnitures/amenities were very basic. There were also dust on the dressing table. The hotel stated that breakfast starts at 6 a.m but when I went for breakfast, there were only one staff and he only served me tea. No food. And on my last day, there were no water. Luckily, I managed to flush the toilet. And also, while the hotel is a bit nearer to the Angkor Wat complex, it is a few kilometres from the city center and makes it a bit inconvenient to dine out, although they do have a restaurant in the hotel.
If I have the chance, will I stay here again? Maybe. But with the same price, I'm sure you can get a better hotel at the city center. And if I decided to return to Siem Reap in the future, that's what I will do.
