Great apart from.dining times.

Was ok shame that dinner finished at 7.30 as checked in at 6.45 also breakfast started at 8.15 and I had to be on the 3rd at 8.00 so couldnt get food before I started work.

Very comfortable Stay

A very good visit. The hotel has adapted extremely well to the new Covid 19 rules. The buffet breakfast that used to be served is not permitted, but the replacement table service breakfast was outstanding. Thoroughly recommended.

Great service

Nice location in own grounds with plenty of private parking and easy walking to town & seafront. We were warmly welcomed, and staff were friendly & helpful. Cleanliness was scrupulously in line with guidelines to combat Covid 19.

A beautiful country house hotel by the seaside. The property is in a lovely position just 10 to 15 minutes walk from the beach and town centre. The staff are wonderful, attentive and very friendly. The rooms are well appointed with luxury toiletries and spacious. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully kept. The food is very well prepared and tasty, plentiful and there is lots of choice for breakfast and dinner.

A nice hotel, close to the seafront, but not too close. The bed was a bit short for my husband, who is 6ft. but otherwise it was comfortable

Most of the staff particularly at breakfast were very nice and helpful. Bathroom rather small and old fashioned. Nice big bedroom but walls too thin ! Terrific location near river, park and a nice walk to town

Trevligt ställe där man kände sig väl mottagen. Personalen var mycket sreviceminded. Åt middag på hotellet och det var mycket gott. Likaså frukosten. Parken utanför hotellet var vacker.

Old-fashioned charm & comfort in spades!

The Hunters Moon hotel is a beautiful old country house set in extensive well maintained private grounds adjoining mature parkland and the river Sid. Stepping into the hotel is like stepping back in time, but in the best possible way. As befits its grandeur, the hotel is tastefully decorated in an old fashioned comfortable style. Like putting on a favourite pair of slippers, you cannot help but relax. All the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, a great choice of both continental and hots. The kippers were particularly tasty, with toast in a toast rack. Such a lovely touch! Our room was clean, airy and so light, decorated in white throughout with useable mirrors – one of my pet hates in modern hotels - and plenty of storage. The hotel has plenty of parking on site and is about a ten minute walk from the centre of Sidmouth. Hunters Moon is a gem & definitely to be recommended for a peaceful and relaxing visit to Sidmouth.

very dated facilities and even more ancient "service" - weekend breakfast is served 8.15-9.30 and dinner 6.30-7.30!

A great hotel with friendly and attentive but not intrusive staff. We had a short break and found the hotel to be welcoming with good food and a wide range of options for an excellent breakfast. Other guests were frequent visitors and we would go back again too.

A lovely break at the seaside

A very friendly family owned hotel in beautiful grounds within walking distance of the beach. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was very good both at breakfast and dinner and all the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Top notch hotel in an excellent location

My wife and I had two nights at the Hunters Moon Hotel which we enjoyed very much. It is a beautiful Georgian age hotel which is only some 10-15min walk to the seafront and the town. We took our dog who made very welcome. This hotel has delightful staff and serves a wonderful full English breakfast that would put many so-called 5 star hotel to shame. One small improvement to the continental breakfast which offers a good selection of sliced meats and cheeses would be appreciated, that a fresh loaf or baguette with a bread knife so that diners could slice off their own bread. Most hotels 'get' the notion of continental breakfast and offer either fresh rolls or a selection of breads. Small cost to the kitchen but a big difference for the customer. The hotel has great facilities which we made full use of, such as an extensive garden. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and a very well appointed on-suite bathroom. We wish you the very best for your excellent business and we shall happily return as soon as possible. Keep up the the good work
