Ended up not staying and lost my payment. Saw looked to be tweakers near by and didn’t feel comfortable leaving my car in the lot. Ended up driving further north.

Quick stay.
We stayed the night before my surgery early at a local hospital. Very quick and easy check-in/check out. Comfortable bed, fantastic shower. We would definitely stay again. Very clean and quiet.

Staff was amazing
I really can’t say enough about our stay. Everyone was friendly and let me tell you, they had every reason not to be. We were in town for the Tarheel league state championship and there were kids everywhere. The staff was amazing, helpful, nice, friendly, accommodating and PATIENT! Thank you to the entire staff for being so accommodating.

The only issue we had with the property is that our room smelled a little bad. It had a smell, sort of like a fish bowl.

Not worth it.
As one of the more expensive properties in Shelby I expected more. Some one had thrown up in the elevator and the stench was there for my 2 night stay. The a/c unit grinded on starting..very noisy woke me every time it started. I heard people walking overhead through the night. People were at the fire pit outside well past midnight laughing and talking..poor sound insulation.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years. The elevator has a pronounced smell similar to vomit. Since Covid, the cleanliness of the hotel has taken a turn for the worst. It’s beginning to show its age with scuff marks around the shower area. Also, one of the gas fire pits was not working. With the significant price increase in the last two years I would expect better quality.

Excellent in all respect except microwave didn’t work. Never realized how handy or how much I used one. Told housekeeping and was told their supervisor would be to fix it. Never saw the supervisor.

Aside from broken usb charging ports in the room, and near dead remote batteries…. The facilities were very nice. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. I’d still give them 4 out of 5 stars.
