Cars were abandoned and others had people living out of them. One drunk young man told my wife she should go to his room in the elevator. This appears to be a motel used by long term monthly residents"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Old Lantern Inn in Charlotte VT. Our room was large with a king and a twin bed and views of Lake Champlain. The inn was very quiet and clean. We can’t say enough about the innkeeper Lisa; she went above and beyond to ensure that not only were our needs met, but our expectations exceeded. Continental breakfast is modest but tasty. "Plenty of parking, convenient location. It's an old building and had some issues to be attended to. The room could have been a little cleaner. The beds were fairly comfortable. It was good for the one night we stayed there. The people were great."

"The property was conveniently located and surrounded by retail stores and dinner options. Staff was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. However the room was disappointing. The kitchen and bathroom showed signs of wear and tear, not all electric outlets were working and the hair dryer was also not working…luckily I brought my own. Lack of attention to detailed cleaning as we found cobwebs near the air conditioner and under the lamp shades."

"What a wonderful stay. From the abdolutely nice place , beautifuly mentained, to a absolute clean room ,to a very nice loby room with all the amenities needed. The baggels and especialy the raspberry spread that was delicious, not to mention the hospitality the owners oferred was bar none. Mike made sure everybody and everything was great for a nice quiet stay. That makes it for a come back for sure. Absolutely reccomend this wonderful place 100% !!! "Do NOT stay here when it's hot out!!! They do not have working ACs. They had them running all day before we checked in in the evening. We ran the AC all night also. It didn't start working until about 5am and barely worked at that"

"Not to be dramatic but this might be the best hotel I’ve been to. Super reasonable, cute area, walking distance to shops and restaurants, really cute outside spots. Great for kids with the pool and they have books, games, and coloring pages in the lobby. Joseph at the desk was an absolute sweetheart. My only complaint was the bathroom wasn’t that clean it had a lot of hairs and such around- but I’m sure if I called to complain someone would’ve taken care of it. Probably a fluke.
