Go dusty

A lovely hotel that suits my needs, at a reasonable price, and no surcharges. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are always clean and filled with the basics.

A great stay!

Had a lovely one night stay. Location is great being only 20 mins from Sheffield and just off the M1. The room is well presented and clean. Breakfast was very nice. Overall our stay was excellent and would be happy to stay again in the future. Highl recommend.

The Dusty Miller is a good value pub, with excellent beer, good food at decent prices and friendly staff. Live bands on Saturday nights create a good atmosphere. The accommodation is in quite small, but perfectly functional, rooms. The en suite in the room we stayed in (5) is very tight! I think the rooms are a little overpriced and would be better value at around £50, as the room rate doesn't include breakfast. You can hear the music from the bar in your room, but it's not too obtrusive and finishes between 11.30 and 11.45 anyway. Stay again? Probably. Eat and drink there - definitely, when next in the area.

Everything was ok.Staff couldn’t be more helpful. On the night we stayed the live band “Acoustic Angels” where phenomenal.it raised the enjoyment of our stay to another level

Pleasant room in country inn

The room was small but fine - sufficient for my needs, en suite bathroom, television, kettle. There was a band playing downstairs, which went on till Midnight - which didn't bother me but if you were somebody who likes to go to sleep early it might be more of a problem. I didn't get much sleep, however, as the radiator was right behind the headboard and it wouldn't turn off, so was on full blast all night!

Lovely inn

This is a lovely inn with very friendly owner and staff. It is in a rural area on the outskirts of Sheffield. It was ideal for my needs. It was very clean and comfortable.

Good stay over

We had a good stay over at The Dusty Miller, staff really lovely & very helpful. A Dog Friendly Hotel where our day Charlie loved his stay. Food very good too! Brill live Band on Sat night. A suggestion, as we pay £10 for Charlie a dog water bowl would have been helpful for the room. Other than that a lovely stay thank you.

Too late for food!

Having arrived too late for an evening meal, Adrian, the owner pointed me, by way of a nearby eatery. Listening to him at the bar, & being a chef, made me wish I'd been there sooner to sample at least one of his meals. I know he's very proud of what he has achieved & so he should, in this long family run business, a very interesting character to boot! His brother dished out a 'proper' double everything brekkie in the morning. When I venture that way again, i will look forward to eventually sampling something I missed last time around.

Central for what we wanted

Location was in good area for out visit to see old friends and their family. Interesting places to go and visit also. Bikers night was interesting and Rock and Roll band very good.

Pleasant hotel located clise to the motorway. Only one member of staff on duty who had to do everything. The room was pleasant and comfy. Unfortunately, although we had booked bed and breakfast we were told no breakfast was available and we were not offered an alternative other than to buy our own at Costa

Nice out of town pub. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Excellent Sunday roast at lunchtime. They even had a good live band playing Saturday evening. A very pleasant stay

Great location for a nearby wedding. Amazing views. Friendly, helpful staff Comfortable room and bed. Fantastic breakfast!! Telephoned with a payment query but was put at ease. Would definitely stay again

One night stay

Arrived late afternoon, greeted immediately by Adrian (Manager) who looked after me very well. Had a meal from their menu board and it was very good and enough to fill a weary travellers tummy. Peaceful night spent in single room which was well stocked with towels, bed linen etc (all very clean) and the complimentary soap, shampoo, tea, coffee were all to hand. Despite the dreadful weather (the Beast from the East) I was lovely and warm and cosy inside. I would definitely revisit, if in the area again, and I would definitely recommend to colleagues and acquaintances. Excellent value for money.
