The grounds are kept amazing. The gardens, pool and garden furniture are in great condition. However the villa is let down by the interior. It's showing its age and in need of some investment, walls are marked, curtains could do with a clean and bedding updated. The main let down for us was the villa house keepers, they are wonderful and friendly however i feel like they are doing the bare minimum. They start at 9am, which for us was too late to get breakfast out for the children, it felt more like brunch. Cleaning initially looks ok but it is isn't, its dirty and the two villa ladies would rather sleep or rest on the deck than clean.! It seemed that once the bedrooms were serviced and the deck swept there was at least 4 hours of resting. I wish i could goto work and spend most of the time on a break.!! The house has a problem with large ants. In the evening they invade in the evening, i understand we are in the tropics and expect bugs but this was too much. Other villas fog their property a couple times a month but i doubt this one does, there are such large gaps around the door frames i doubt it would help. I brought a large can of bug spray and would give the house a spray each evening. All the mosquito nets have holes in. The TV didn't work the whole time (6 nights), the cable didn't work at all and never got fixed, the tv remote batteries were flat anyway. As a whole, the outside staff were wonderful and hard working, gardeners and security but let down by inside.

Thanks for the review. I have submitted some of your findings to our staff, at least as far as they are concerned. They have responded to that. I live in the Netherlands myself, I cannot assess whether the complaints and the answers from our staff are correct. I will try to explain a few things as far as I can as the owner. The walls are regularly updated, rooms 5 and 6 have been completely repainted 2 weeks before your arrival. The walls are often damaged by guests throwing their suitcases against the walls. As for the interior, that is a matter of taste, I would say look at the photos. Regarding the commencement of working hours, it can be discussed and adjusted on request, apparently that has not happened. That apparently they are not cleaned properly and that they sleep 4 hours I cannot judge from a distance. It sometimes happens that we suffer from ants, even here in the Netherlands that happens, but that the entire villa is full is not true, I asked that extra for our staff, that does not seem to be the case. Because then of course something has to be done about it. I never close the mosquito net myself, I did not know there were nets with holes in it, I asked to photograph it to show me how bad it was. It was not too bad, but that has already been made again. Regarding the TV, the staff told me that the TV was working normally, they replaced the batteries, but apparently one of the children had taken them out. Unfortunately these guests has not contacted me or our help desk in Bali, because we are there for guests who have problems solving that.
