"Avoid this hotel! The service at this hotel is the worst I have ever experienced! They promised us the room would be ready in 20 minutes, and after 20 minutes, we politely asked and out of nowhere, both front desk ladies gave us an attitude with a face! We tried to chill and they promised us another 20 mins, and again, after the 20 mins, they still didn't bother to update us until we asked again. Again, the room is still not ready. Apparently, they just simply promised us, without even talking...

"This resort was wonderful! The cooling tub/pool outside of the room was a treat, with beautiful views of the ocean. The staff was great, and food in the restaurant outstanding. There is a nice resort next door that also has a great restaurant. Please be aware that it is quite a distance from town along a rustic, sometimes unpaved road. We usually walked down and took a Tuk Tuk back (mainly only Tuk Tuks and scooters on island) as it was so warm in the afternoons. We got massages at the resort...

"The cleaners were not very serious, and spent more time making elephants and swans out of the towels, than cleaning. Cosy pool ! Terrible noisy aircon. We were given one key only, so could chose between a locked door/ hot room to return to, or unlocked/cold room. We were denied an extra key. Asked cleaners to come back in 5 mins, and they didn’t come at all. An almost worn out hotel."

"Fantastic resort in a beautiful location on the sunrise beach. The staff were very friendly & helpful especially the managers DK & May. The food was great with a large selection for breakfast. There are two beautiful pools one with a swim up bar. The room was modern with beautiful sea views. It’s an ideal location on the island & just a short walk away from Sunset beach & walking street where all the restaurants & bars are. "Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse hos Charmig Lipe. Bungalowen hade allt man behöver och personalen var alltid trevliga och hjälpsamma. Vi blandade ihop datumen och missade att vi skulle checka ut, och missade därmed vår båt till Langkawi, men personalen var så snälla och hjälpte oss att boka en ny båt. Vi behövde heller inte betala något extra för att vi blev försenade med utcheckningen vilket var väldigt tacksamt. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka! "
