For context, we traveled here in September - which is off season! Nearest grocery store was a 40min drive - we met our host along the winding road to the store - he greeted us with fresh eggs! "It is a bare bones hotel. But it was clean. The beds were good. The A/C eventually cooled the room. The location is GREAT. It includes free parking on site. We booked this room mid trip. I inadvertantantly booked for Monday when it it should have been Sunday. I realized this just a few hours before arrival. Over the phone the staff graciosly solved the problem I created. For that I am very appreciative. Senj is a hidden gem on the Croation Coast about 2.5 hours south of Trieste."

If you like a rustic home nestled remotely in pure nature with views of the Adriatic from the back patio, with nothing but the sound of bees visiting the many mint blossoms, this place is for you! The tiny beach in Starigard was great, a bit of a scary drive and very limited parking. The beach in Lukova was wonderful. Senj is worth a trip. If you don’t require much guidance and are able to figure things out, this place is for you. The remoteness and sheer privacy made this a wonderful place."
