"This property is beautiful. But the location of the property is not close to anything. The restaurant's food was okay because the options were limited. Also, they advertise English speaking staff, but we relied heavily on Google Translate to communicate with staff. We had power outages off and on for approximately one hour. We were disappointed that no one checked to see if we were ok during that time. We had a private pool room and were unable to use the pool on our last day because it...

Sally Beach Hotel Yenne

10/10 Excellent

"They help us with a trusted personal driving"

International Hotel Dakar

8/10 Good

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel from the moment that we arrived the staff went out of their way to find ways to help us to enjoy our stay and particularly Aliou and Babou (excuse the spelling). I would highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Dakar, but for a longer stay e.g. 4 days+ our room was a bit tight for 3 people. Overall a great experience"

Hôtel Fleur de Lys Point E

8/10 Good

"Overall, Hôtel Fleur de Lys Point E made for a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I would recommend it, particularly for solo travelers. The neighborhood felt safe and navigable, which as a solo traveler matters more than anything else. The room was a highlight, super spacious, with a comfortable bed and a lovely view of the city from above. Waking up to that view every morning was a nice touch. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience feel warm and welcoming throughout my stay. Breakfast was decent nothing extraordinary, but a perfectly fine way to start the day. It's also worth noting that there are several restaurants within walking distance, which is a convenient bonus. Now for the honest part: the location comes with some challenges. The area is heavily trafficked, and for reasons I still can't fully explain drivers have a genuinely difficult time finding the hotel. Whether you're arriving by taxi or rideshare, budget extra time and be prepared to guide your driver. The roads in the immediate area are also not the most pedestrian or driver friendly, so keep that in mind when planning your daily movements. With a little patience on the logistics, it's a comfortable and safe base for exploring Dakar. I'd recommend."
