Nice hotel but not keen on location
The rooms are modern and elegant. Location for me not so good, not really a lot around. The included breakfast was a very limited menu and very small, prefer the buffet breakfast. And if you dont like stairs dont book there is no elevator. It waa good exercise each day. Staff on the front desk where very helpful, staff upstairs at tge restaurant and bar very limited english. But overall nice hotel.

Good for the price
Traditional Balinese Hotel. A little older. No elevator, but all of our bags were taken up the stairs for us. The room was spacious with a little 2 person couch. They have cribs for babies. The restaurant on the rooftop is cute. The only bad thing is that the pool was never really in the sun when we stayed at the end of July so we never used it.

Visit Visala sometime
The Visala suited our group of 4 - we had two rooms. The beds in particular were so so comfortable. Breakfast was good and the pool area was also good. Staff were so friendly - we had to check out at noon and they apologised so much that they didn't have a spare room we could use as they were totally booked up BUT our flight wasn't until 1.00am so they gave us the pool area to use - had shower and toilet and they provided fresh towels. Totally recommend Visala it suited us 100%. Would definitely stay there next time. Also only five minute to the beach and view magnificent sunsets. Also, should mention very affordable and just down the road a great restaurant Honey Bees

Great hotel
Upgraded from Deluxe to Suite on arrival, very nice room. Comfortable large bed, very spacious room, excellent shower! Location is good, only a few minutes walk to a wide variety of restaurants. Main street is noisy and busy, but the hotel is a few minutes down a sidestreet which is just enough to make it feel peaceful. 10 mins to beach. Pool area is quite small, but was never crowded, perhaps because it unfortunately is only in sunlight until lunchtime. Free breakfast was OK but not hugely inspiring, nice to order off menu instead of having a buffet though. Overall would definitely stay again, thank you :)

Went to celebrate husband's 50th with friends from Europe. Nice hotel, off the beaten track a little which was great. Cab fares are cheap, and even cheaper walking.

Quiet hotel in the heart of Seminyak
Friendly staff. Our deal included breakfast (a la carte) which was very good. Improvement suggestions: bathroom and table surfaces could have been wiped down better and cups either replaced or washed better. Swimming pool was very good as it was out of direct sunlight, hence comfortable and relaxing. Scooter hire available by helpful staff at a very fair rate too. Thank you

Fun time!
Loved the pool area. Quick enough access to the beach. There are a ton of excellent restaurants within walking distance, too. Overall, a nice time!

Quiet and calm
Some of the staff speak no English which makes it hard. Had a spa treatment which was worth getting at the hotel. Bed was extremely hard and shower was cold. Very quiet and hot to use the pool privately due to small number of rooms. Not farto walk to main roads for shopping etc.

We stayed two nights after arrival to Bali. We get the best rest to beat our jetleg :) Good sleep, great breakfast, nice massage and pool.

The staff are outstandingly friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast and some dinners at the hotel. The choice was wide, the quality excellent and the prices were most acceptable.

Lovely boutique hotel.
The staff were superb though a skeleton bunch......yet they provided an amazing experience. Hotel is near to amenities. The pool was great and open till late so we could take a dip after a long day on foot.

We didn't like Seminyak but, the hotel is on a quiet laneway. It was clean and quiet and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooftop restaurant is good, too.

Great place, great value
We really loved The Visala. It is owned by locals which we liked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was included in the price and there was a good selection. We also had a number of dinners and lunches there because not only was the food good it was very cheap for a hotel restaurant. The location was good for us. Close to the beach. We even walked to Seminyak Square which was only about half an hour away. It was a lot longer getting back because I thought I knew a shortcut. We went there for a family birthday party and what the staff did to set up a private area was nothing short of amazing. We were all very impressed.

A pleasant surprise. Lovely bedding and pillows. Big room next to the pool. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Only compliant was a slight bad smell in the bathroom. I would stay again.

not the best
this was not the best hotel we have stayed in and although a brand new hotel it was in a sorry state, there was damp patches through every corridoor which was the result of a very poor bathroom design. when you had a shower the entire shower room floor became soaked as there was no fall to the drains, this reulted in wading through the water some hours later to go to the toilet. there is also no lift so unless you are fit would be hard for some, the breakfast is served on the roof which is accessed by stairs. it is a set menu breakfast ordered the night before and you need to plan your breakfast time as if you end up there all at the same time you will have a long wait as we had on a couple of occasions of nearly 1 hour before getting served.

Do not stay there
Giving the choices we have in Bali, The Visala should be last on your list. Dirty, dark, AC making noise, far from everything... This should be a 1 star at most. No elevators, rude staff, smelly, small rooms...Just do yourself a favor and avoid it. Even at $10, I wouldn't stay there

Mauvaise Qualité De Services,un Exemple Nous Avons Pue Voir Que Selon La Personnes,Qui Était A La Réception Un Verre De Bienvenue Était Offert.(Nous N Y Avons Pas Eu Droit). Wir waren zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal. Liegt nördlich in Seminyak. Ins Zentrum kann man laufen oder mit dem Taxi fahren.
