We drove the ring road and stayed somewhere new almost every night and this was our favorite place to stay! Almar was friendly and knowledgeable. They had information books with suggestions of places to go and how long the trips would take with maps for all the suggestions. There was such a variety for breakfast, the beds were comfortable, the showers were great (temperature and water pressure).

Guesthouse is convenient to Selfoss with great dining options. Also convenient to hopping on the Golden circle. Clean and breakfast was good.

Room was clean and functional. Quiet small motel so not over crowded. Out in country so beautiful surroundings. Only negative thing I would say is breakfast not till 8:00, which got us on the road later than we had hoped.

Great location near Selfoss. The place doesn’t have any bells and whistles but it’s comfortable, clean, and with friendly staff. Private bathrooms is a key (some guesthouses don’t have them). Free breakfast is delicious and convenient so you don’t have to drive around looking for a breakfast place (there’s nothing nearby because well… it’s Iceland LOL). Highly recommend!

Enjoyed our night here. We used the sauna and hot tub after a long day. It was a fairly basic room, but that is all we needed for a good night sleep. Good breakfast that was included in the morning. Would stay here again.

My family of 3 stayed at several guest houses during our week trip. This one stood out for the attention to detail. The owners were personable, beds were very comfortable, room had local restaurant suggestions and guide maps. Hot tub and sauna on site. 3pm check-in was helpful. The place was full but very quiet. Beautiful farm, convenient to Selfoss.

Lovely setting. Comfy bed, efficient blackout curtains, and able to open window. Great shower. Absolute best breakfast while on Ring Road. Homemade jam for homemade bread. More variety than most and all of it good. You can even make your own waffle! Definitely stay here!

Breakfast spread really good. Hot tub has no view. Shower makes bathroom floor all wet. The building can use a WiFi extender for the end.

Best spot in Iceland.
This was the absolute best place we stayed during our entire trip. The guesthouse was sparkling clean and so cozy and lovely. We arrived late and soaked to the bone after a rainy hike and the wonderful owners let us dry our gear in their heated barn overnight so that by the time morning came we were ready for another Icelandic adventure. The hot tub was so nice after a long day and the breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. I cannot recommend enough!

Great night,
Full house, I think, and we all bonded over viewing the Northern Lights. The owner came down and knocked on doors to let us know about the aurora, so we were most grateful. Breakfast was plentiful. Room was immaculate.

A Place to Relax & Unwind — Iceland Peace
What a wonderful, adorable, restful, quiet, beautiful place to rest for the night. We wish we could've stayed longer. The place is clean, the view is amazing, and the whole environment is sooooo soothing My wife FELL IN LOVE with the two baby lambs roaming the property and coming up to guests to welcome them. LoL. It was a great experience. And the breakfast they put out that is included..... OMG!!! What a wonderful spread. We didn't lack for anything. This place is a real under-the-radar find. Thank you Lambastadir. We'll see you again.

The guesthouse was very close to the town (where restaurants and gas stations were) and the Golden Circle. The backyard with hot tub and sauna was so nice and clean. The hosts are very friendly and we were able to pet their horses (they will walk up to you!). I would stay there again not just to rest but also enjoy! 農家でもあるので、馬との交流もできました！裏庭にはきれいなホットタブとサウナがあります。玄関で靴を脱ぐので、ハイキング後でも廊下や部屋は綺麗に保てます。

One night stay on way before driving to Golden Circle. We were met at the fence by their beautiful Icelandic horses. Room was a good size, lots of hot water, good continental breakfast with homemade jelly. Geothermal hot tub was great! Owners were very helpful with driving directions.

Beautiful guesthouse on the south west coast. Perfect location to visit the waterfalls, Pingvellir & the SW coast. Cosy sauna and hot tub in the back and wonderful views of the Icelandic horses on the farm grazing as you look out at breakfast. Breakfast was great too: hot waffles, cereals, boiled eggs and variety of meats, toasts, fresh fruit and salad. We loved our stay there!

Friendly, and cozy place to stay
Stayed for one night as part of a tour of the South Coast. Check in was easy and simple. The guesthouse was warm and welcoming and the facilities were clean and well maintained. There's plenty of options for breakfast in the morning and the owners were friendly. We really enjoyed our overnight stay.

The farm setting and open invitation to see the animals wass great. Easy access location...quiet yet not too far off the beaten path. Clean, and well-kept with a great breakfast. On the downside, beds were too hard for me, so a restless night's sleep...and 1 tiny trash can is too little for travelers! Need at least 1 larger, communal receptacle or additional one in each room! Good value for the price.

Highly recommend!
We stayed for one night driving from the southern coast back to Reykevik. It was a perfect location to begin our drive through the Golden Circle, with much to do and see! Lambastadir guesthouse was very convenient, in a rural area, yet close to the main road. We had a delicious breakfast and enjoyed chatting with the proprietor's family in the morning before we left.
