Bathroom was stylish but not very functional with the design of the sink (no countertop space and can’t imagine how many things fall down the very large drain). Upon arrival gentleman checking us in was not very friendly. We had an issue with the safe in our room and he accused us of inputting the code wrong. We hadn’t. "The apartment was very cozy and a nice place to rest after an overnight flight (the comfortable mattress and black-out curtains were appreciated!) Very comfortable washroom and shower. It even had laundry facilities! Parking was easy. Staff at the restaurant below helped with check-in process. We took our morning walk in the nearby Geothermal park which has a geyser. "The accommodation looked exactly like the photos and was spotless. It was located right next to Kerið Crater, making it easy and convenient to step outside at night to watch the northern lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the hot tub, which was a bit disappointing. It’s definitely a place we would love to stay at again and highly recommend to others."

Only slight downside is rooms are not very sound proof. Overall I would rate this a solid nothing wrong, but nothing overly special about it either. But does have very nice staff. "

"A nice relaxing hotel in a convenient location, not too far from The Geothermal Park Hveragerð, Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River, and the Kerið Crater. A pool and hot tub are available. Breakfast had plenty of varieties of hot items and pastries. A small community park with a waterfall, neighborhood shops, cafes and food hall are also within walking distance."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Grimsborgir. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved having the hot tubs in such close proximity. The breakfast that was included was delicious and had a wide variety. I would absolutely stay here again! It was a perfect base of operations for exploring Reykjavik and Snæfellsnes. "
