"The first room we got checked into smelled like vomit, straight up. We could pinpoint it was coming from a side table. We contacted the front desk and they put us in another room right away. The furniture in the rooms is super pleasant and modern which is a nice contrast against the old building. The bar is awesome! "

"Comfortable room in a great location. Lobby and shared spaces were well-appointed. Patio space was lovely, but only open & available one of the three days that I was there, despite good weather. Front Desk staff wasn’t particularly helpful or friendly. "

"We absolutely loved the Lyle Hotel. Our room was very comfortable with so many well thought out details. The interior design was unique and beautiful. We also loved the neighborhood and location. This is definitely the place to stay in DC!"

"Nice room, pretty hotel. Lots of construction in the area at this time. This is the second time we’ve stayed, and the second time I’ve received random charges on my credit card that I had to ask about. During this stay we couldn't check in until 4:30 given a glitch in their system ( the room was ready but the front desk couldn’t “release it”). A couple of minutes turned into 30. "

My family and I traveled to DC to have our civil wedding ceremony. We needed an early check in so that we could get ready before heading to the courthouse. Well the team over delivered! "Check in was a breeze. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property is a beautifully converted mansion. An excellent breakfast was included in the price. A great place for a weekend getaway."

"Charming hotel and very friendly staff especially during check-in. My one and only complaint is how noisy my stay was. I highly recommend asking for a room far away from the house-keeping closet space because they are constantly in and out and shutting doors at all hours of the day. The doors to the rooms need to be sealed better but I understand it's an older hotel."
