Sebago Lake Basin

The Admiral Peary Inn is clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Our room was spacious, quiet, and well appointed. The location in Fyeburg was close to many attractions and points of interest. Cheryl is a great host. She is knowledgable, helpful, and caring. The breakfasts were exceptional. We really had a restful and pleasing stay, and we intend to return.

The location was off the beaten path and in the woods. Quiet cozy room ( no TV ) price was more than reasonable considering what hotels on the Conway strip cost. Free breakfast was simple, apples, oranges, muffins, pastries, coffee, tea. Stayed for Fryburg Fair.20 minutes away. Hot water in the morning was an issue as it was only lukewarm both shower and sink . Wall heater in bathroom didn’t work but wasn’t needed ( 35 degrees outside). Electric heat worked . These issues I’ve had in major Hotels . Rooms at Marriott, Hilton, no name motels were 2+ times higher in price the same time we stayed for the Fair. The hot water did work when we first arrived as my wife took her shower but not in the morning..

Host was really nice and even waited for us when we were running really late. The property is very unique in its layout and vibe and the area is beautiful. However, the room was unbelievably disgusting! There was what almost looked like a blood stain on the carpet with splattered something on the way right beside the head of the bed. On a closer look I believe it was a dried vomit stain with bits still splattered on the wall. We were very tired and very far from anything else at 11 pm after having flown into Boston from GA then drove to Maine in this same day. We slept with our heads at the foot of the bed, away from the questionable stain and slept ontop of the covers.
