The one star represents proximity to activities. It was the only good thing about staying here. I accepted taking a quality sacrifice for affordability and proximity to Seattle City Center. But i was shocked at how there was duct tape holding together the a/c in the room and we coulnt even operate it because the bed was right in front of it, rusty staples holding up the old dingy 80's wall paper in the bathroom, black mold and chipped paint around the sweating window, and the bed with springs that pierced my body making sleep very difficult (SO glad I brought my own pillow!), and 2 of the 4 lamps were not operational or no bulb. There was someone else's travel size conditioner left behind that wasn't thrown out by housekeeping, and no hand soap next to the sink; one had to reach into the moldy shower to access the handsoap/ bodywash combo. The guy at the front counter was very polite and got us a second bottle to have at the sink.
I will find a way to spend more $$ per night and stay at a different place next time we visit Seattle. 2 nights was over $400 and I have had better experiences camping and sleeping on the ground.
Sugggestion for Travelodge, just don't bother on the Kurig in the room. There are bigger issues that could use that money better.
