Slovenia is full of remarkable places to visit. A few hours northeast of Ljubljana, the capital, lies a region of alpine valleys that will take your breath away. I took this photo shortly after sunrise on the ridge between two of those valleys. Having your own set of wheels certainly makes getting around this area a lot easier. For accommodation I'd recommend Luce, a small town a stone's throw away from the action, where there are a few options. The trails can be hard to locate and very slippery when covered with snow so tread carefully or, preferably, wait until it disappears. #slovenia #travel #hiking
The old castle (Stari grad) in Celje is situated high on a hill that overlooks the town of Celje and the Savinja River valley. Entrance to the castle is €4 - this includes a small permanent exhibition on torture in the middle ages, a look at an old printing workshop, the castle tower, and fantastic views. #castle #nature #instone

Great place to stay on the edge of town.
Excellent place to stay. Very eco friendly but with style and taste, 10 minutes pleasant walk to their own excellent restaurant, good parking, whole site off road so extremely quiet, very friendly and helpful staff.

The room was clean, spacious, and had everything you could need. There is no reception and I made the mistake of not coordinating our arrival but the owners did everything to make sure we were able to access the room and make our stay incredible.
