"We picked San Bada because it's literally next to the park entrance. It was so nice after a long sweaty hike to get back to the room, eat lunch and use the pool. I didn't realize how amazing the hotel would be. Extremely friendly staff, incredible breakfast, and epic views from our balcony and rooftop. We heard howler monkeys, and saw toucans and scarlet macaws while sipping great coffee each morning. I would definitely return."

"Our stay at La Mariposa Hotel in Manuel Antonio was phenomenal and, so far, our favourite stay in Costa Rica! The views throughout the property were incredible, and the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The pools were clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options for everyone in the family. We were lucky enough to see the resident sloth a couple of times, and squirrel monkeys also passed by during our stay. These wildlife encounters made the experience even more special. Between the beautiful views, excellent service, great breakfast, lovely pools, and wildlife, La Mariposa made our stay truly memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio!"

"SOOOO SO MUCH FUN!! it was our first getaway out of the country and we couldn’t have been more impressed!! They planned all our excursions for us making the stress on us SOOO much less!! They treated us so well and were so much fun!! Such a beautiful country to experience and thanks to them, we got to experience so much!! "We had the best time at Lamangata - the hotel is stunning. You can tell Hernan & team take immense pride in the property, as it's impeccably cared for. The pool is also an absolute dream. One thing to note is that the property functions a bit like a chalet, with a setup designed to encourage interaction among guests. If you are open to this, it’s a massive highlight. The rooms are beautiful and offer sweeping views over the vast forest all the way down to the ocean. The surprising highlight of the trip was the unbelievable food. Chefs Eladio and Tony make everything from scratch, and it's all delicious. For activities, my friend took surf lessons and had a fantastic time, learning a huge amount in a very short period. Junior (the head coach) is an incredible teacher. Even though I didn’t surf this time, watching them made me want to come back for a dedicated week of learning! Location-wise, the hotel is situated up a long gravel road, so having a 4x4 is definitely helpful. However, the hotel team is also great at getting you wherever you need to go. You can't walk anywhere directly from the property, but it’s only a quick 10-15 minute drive to the nearest small town. The only minor inconveniences were that the Wi-Fi and the air conditioning in our room could occasionally be a little unreliable. However, the staff always sorted it out quickly, so it really didn't impact our stay. Overall, Lamangata is a truly special place. I can't wait to return!"
