The bamboo huts, common area and restaurant were really nice. It was clean, close to the beach and the food was good. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. A really nice option if you want to stay on sunrise beach.

Pay extra go elsewhere.
Was expecting basic and it was very basic. Loads of mosquitoes - take lots of repellent. Had a few visitors (cocktoaches) which we were expecting from previous reviews - it was a bamboo hut in the jungle afterall - it meant we never fully relaxed. Mosquito nets did their jobs at night and fans worked. Hut was very dark and one of the sets if lights didnt work. Bedding didnt feel particularly clean -bottom sheet had rips in. Breakfast at resort was a pricey option of toast or cereal with yoghurt. Sunrise Beach was beautiful and resort next door was lovely for breakfast / lunch. Could snorkell off the beach

we booked accommodation for 3 nights because it was the cheapest on the island. unfortunately, it is located quite far from the events in the city. there are really a LOT of mosquitoes 1 cm in size, if not bigger. The resort is located near a construction site and a gypsy village, which is not pleasant to walk through at night.

Large bamboo bungalow
The resort is nice. Not to far to the main walking street. The only down side is the music being played from the local village late into the night. Overall a good experience.

I like the bamboo bungalows they are cute for a beach stay where scuba is the main attraction. No enough towels on resort to change every day you may want to bring your own. As expected a lot of mosquitos - but the beds are well netted so you will sleep well with fan. But bring mosquito deet spray 90% and up!

Great value and location
Had a fantastic stay at Forra Dive (Sunrise beach) - came for 3 nights and stayed for 6. Great location 1 minute walk from beach. Huts clean and good mosquitoe net - love outdoor bathroom. Others have commented re mosquitos (it'a Thailand!) worse between 530-730pm cover up/use bug cream. There is music most nights from the local village but it never bothered us.....and seemed to go off by 11ish. Overall great location, friendly hosts and great value for money.

Worst Hotel
I honestly believe this was the worst place I have stayed in during with 5 months of backpacking around South East Asia. The noise was so bad we had to get sleeping tablets from the pharmacy to be able to sleep. From 6am untill midnight the village which is just behind the huts blasts out dance hits and an unbelievably loud volume. We followed the source of the noise thinking it would lead to a club and it genuinely just led to a small hut with very large speakers. When it rains it is extremely difficult to get to the huts. It becomes a dirt track and we had to wade through the water several times. The hotel is basic which for us was okay. You get what you expect. We did have frogs and bugs come through the bamboo which was a pain but not unexpected. The showers are out in the open so you do sometimes catch a glimpse of someone bathing too. The resort will not provide you with toilet paper. We asked for it and they said no. When we asked where we could buy it they said they would rather we didnt because "European people cant remember not to put it in the toilet". I thought this was incredibly rude and insulting. When you do want to talk to someone about issues you are met with a lot of people smoking weed and eveyone having a say on what your problem is - its not even clear who works there and who is just there to get stoned. Overally I would avoid this place at all costs. The noise is so bad that it really wrecked our whole experience on Koh Lanta.

Dear customer, Thank you for your very bad review, I do not understand why you did not tell me that when you was here. As well, as I'm doing breastfeeding for my baby at the moment, I do not smoke anything and you knew that I was working here because you came to me when you need anything. Regarding toilet paper, this is true that we do not provide it, as our reflex as western people, we trow it into the toilet, which make them block, it happened already many times. The local people around like play music a lot, we send them the police and will continue to do it until they stop but it can take some time. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your travel, but I recommend you to be more honest next time for a better service corresponding to your real expectations.

Convenient location, ok bungalows.
The bungalow was good comfortable and clean stay. On our arrival we found a cat under the bed, which didn't bother us too much, but he and onether cat kept returning. Other than that it was very clean. The bed had a mosquito net around it at all times. There was a fan fitted in the room, however it didn't work too much and the room got very hot, especially in the net. The bathroom is located outside the back of the bungalow. The toilet and sink are under a shelter but the shower is open. The location is very good. The reception is on Sunrise beach and the bungalows are just behind, less than a 2 minute walk. Walking street, shops and restaurants are all very close.

Nice hotel, nice beach
Other than local karaoke almost every night and it is quite far from walking street, i have a pleasant stay. The resort is so clean, so beautiful and room is clean. No air-conditioning but it is quite cold during night time.

The bungalow and the surrounding area in the resort was great and exactly what I expected from the pics. The locals that live close by we very loud and kinda ruined what could have been a very peaceful and relaxing place. The "daily" housekeeping did not happen either.

Bamboo Bungis in unmittelbarer Strandnähe
Wir hatten den Family Bungalow mit 2 großen Betten , viel Platz, mehrere Ventilatoren, große Terrasse mit Hängematte, Bad war halboffen so dass man unter freiem Himmel duschen konnte, Wasserdruck okay, warmes Wasser zum Duschen, es gab einen Gemeinschafts Sitzbereich der sehr gemütlich war, Trinkwasser aus dem Spender kostenlos, freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, nur wenige Meter zum Strand, alles in allem eine super Unterkunft

Sjov anderledes oplevelse
At bo i en bambushytte er en anderledes oplevelse. Vi havde booket tre nætter og i starten var vi ikke vilde med at bo sådan, men oplevelserne vandt ind på os og vi endte med at kunne lide det. Der er ikke toiletpapir eller håndsæbe, det skal du selv sørge for. Sengene er meget hårde.

Las cabañas son preciosas, perfectas si estuvieran en otra ubicación. Les falta algo para sentarte dentro al cambiarte y perchas. Mucho ruido del poblado gitano y lo tienes que atravesar todo para llegar a los tenderetes y calle principal. No tenían teléfono de contacto ni mail en la ficha de expedia y cuando llegamos, no había nadie para recibirnos (check-in). Wifi no funciona (te dicen que había problema el día de antes pero de los 3 días no funcionó ni uno solo) La playa, con muchísimos barcos, mar muy movido y pocas sombras. El servicio de bar/restaurante lentísimo, un día me dejaron sin comer porque después de esperar una hora y pico, resulta que no habían pasado nota a cocina de mi pedido, eso si, cocinan bien, aunque la camarera no se entera (no sabe inglés aunque dicen hablar inglés, español, francés y tailandés). No creo que sea buena zona para estar... o te pones tapones para dormir y te mueves en tuc-tuc, o mal.

Perfetto per rilassarsi e per fare scuba diving!
Abbiamo soggiornato al Forra Diving Resort a Sunrise Beach per 5 notti. È stato meraviglioso! La location è perfetta a pochi passi dal mare nel punto in cui il mare è più bello, pieno di pesci e di coralli! Il bungalow tutto di bamboo era molto bello e pulito. L’atmosfera in generale era perfetta molto rilassata e serena. Il personale è gentilissimo e sempre pronto a dati suggerimenti sull’isola: ristoranti, attività e posti da visitare. Il resort ha anche un ristorante sulla spiaggia che è buonissimo (consigliamo i panini che erano deliziosi) con cucina thai ma anche occidentale. È arredato con tavoli e sedie di legno intagliato che sono molto belli ma anche con “bean bags” che sono perfetti per stare rilassati guardando il mare con un bel drink. Tornerò di sicuro e lo consiglio vivamente :)

Fel adress på anläggningen, gör er reserch
OK, fel adress på platsen vilket medförde att vi hamnade på andra sidan ö o fick gå genom smutsigt obehagligt område. Inte alls ok då dom skyller på google. Står på Hotels.com att anläggningen ligger på en strand vilken är nära till shopping o restauranger men i själva verkat på andra sidan ön.

Incómodas y ruidosas
Las cabañas están en una ubicación diferente de la que indica Google Maps, está cerca de Sunrise, además el problema que tienen es que está rodeada de casas de gitanos del mar que tienen sus gallineros y que queman basura de forma incontrolada, entonces tienes problemas de olor y de ruidos

Usted tiene razón, la ubicación es falsa para nuestro Resort de Sunrise Beach (estamos localizados al Resort de Pattaya Beach). Ya contactamos a Expedia para señalarlo. Esperamos que van a cambiar nuestra ubicación en la mapa rapidamente. Sin embargo, la gente local (los Chao Ley) viven aqui desde 150 años y tienen sus propios usos y costumbres. Vivemos al lado de ellos, y no podemos hacer nada sobre el inconveniente del ruido. Somos tristes de darnos cuenta de vuestra deceptión. Pensamos que disfrutaron su tiempo con nosotros, como parecieron felices...

Empfehlenswert aber etwas zu teuer
Grosszügiger einfacher Bambusbungalow, grosses Bett mit Mosquitonetz, ein Regal und ein Ventilator. Auf dem Balkon genügend Sitzmöglichkeiten und eine Hängematte. Bad ist geräumig, die schöne outdoor Dusche liefert leider nur kaltes Wasser und es gibt kein Toilettenpapier. Keinerlei Toileteries. Der Garten rundherum ist sehr schön und gut gepflegt, verhilft durch geschickt gepflanzten Sichtschutz eine gewisse Privatsphäre. Das Personal war präsent, half bei Fragen weiter und bestellte Taxi. Kein Tourservice oder Ferryticket Buchung möglich. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass kein grosses Interesse bestand..... Die Lage ist super, in zwei Minuten am Strand (wo auch das angegliederte Tauchzentrum und ein dazugehöriges Restaurant ist) aber trotzdem super privat und idyllisch im schönen Garten gelegen. Ruhig aber in gut fünf Minuten in der Walking Street und somit im Zentrum mit Shops, Bars, Restaurants etc. Wir fanden den Preis eigentlich zu hoch für die erbrachte Leistung, allerdings ist das Preisniveau auf Koh Lipe generell recht hoch (Unterkünfte) und hier bekommt man für sein Geld auf jeden Fall eine saubere und nette Unterkunft in guter und ruhiger Lage.

バンブーハットバンガローに泊まる。
スタンダードタイプに７泊する。理由は、ハイシーズンのリペ島では、一泊1000バーツの予算ではドミか狭くビーチから離れた場所しかなかったからだ。 ここは、ビーチに近く、トイレは清潔、温水シャワー、広いスペース、綺麗に手入れした庭、アントニーら良いダイブ仲間に出逢える。 ただし、バンブーハットバンガローとは竹で編んただけの建物だ。虫や回りの音などが自由に入って来る。窓もパネルを開け閉めするだけの簡単なものだ。現代の快適な住居とはかなりのギャップがある。キャンプ生活どの中間と考えれば楽しめると思う。

Overpriced and noisy
I found the bamboo bungalow overpriced. Garden was very nice, about 100 meters from the beach. In the evening there was a lot of noise coming from a festival about 400 meters from the terrain. At saturday night they played loud music from 07.00 PM till 02.15 AM. Adding Sea divers is cheaper and better.

Bra läge nära stranden
I sin helhet var detta en härligt budgethotell med bra läge, nära stranden. Minus för oljud från något som lät som en karaokebar fram till klockan tolv men efter det tystnad. Dessutom var sängen väldigt hård och fläkten gjorde inte så mycket nytta. Överlag nöjda med vistelsen men hade inte velat bo där en längre tid!

Schattige bungalows
Deze bungalows horen bij de duikschool die vlakbij ligt. Het zijn traditionele bamboo bungalows uit het noorden. Ze liggen vlakbij sunrise beach, een heel mooi lang strand aan de noordoostkant van het eiland.

Il Forra si trova a sunrise Beach , sicuramente la spiaggia più bella di ko lipe. Il bagno è all'aperto.All'interno della camera c è un ventilatore che non è sufficiente per il caldo che c è .Se sapete adattarvi si può andare.

Traumhaft schönes Bambushaus
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der entspanntes Urlaub aller Zeiten! Dies lag nicht zuletzt auch an der traumhaft schönen Bambushütte und dem äußerst netten und sehr hilfsbereitem Personal. Versorgt mit Insidertipps, haben wir einen unvergesslichen Ausblick vom Berg der Nachbarinsel genossen und wunderschöne Schnorchelerlebnisse gemacht. Wir kommen wieder!

Bra og romslige bungalower. Veldig sentralt. Ligger 2 minutter unna sunrise beach. Passer perfekt for backpackerne :-) Hyggelig og service innstilte eiere. Sengen er litt hard, aircondition er savnet og wifi på rommet er svært dårlig. Men alt i alt så får man det man betaler for, og vi ble super fornøyde :) 4+
